Chapter 9 - Miracle

1, 2, 3… 

Fall? 

Oh. I get it. Fall. Tears of Midnight. Teardrops fall. Wow.

If I was the old Nathan , I wouldn't give a damn.

But since I was changed by a living doll, here I am… as if I could understand the hidden meaning behind words. 

It was so noisy.There were screams , whistles , laughter , and music.

But here I am , still waiting for the vocalist to sing. 

I've gone for too long 

Living like I'm not alive 

So I'm gonna start over tonight 

Beginning with you and I 

On the first two lines , there was one thing that came into my mind. Mary. Our first meeting where she said  “I live even though other people treat me as if I'm dead..”

How would those words not leave a mark if she isn't this different? She's not just different. She's alone too. 

When this memory fades 

I'm gonna make sure it's replaced 

Chances taken, Hope embraced 

And have I told you? 

And while she's singing this , I can see Mary. 

As if the vocalist was transforming. 

Her hair falling down, her dress increasing length… and the mask dropping off. I can now see Mary singing. I'm laughing. What is this illusion my mind is making up. 

Besides singing the song… she's giving out a message.

When this memory fades, I'm gonna make sure it's replaced.

I remembered what she said the last time I talked to her."I know that my memory would fade. If not fade, then change. 

So before that happens , I'll tell you now. Memories are not meant to be kept.”
