“Did you know I had a dream that you were crying?”
I'm not used to seeing her wear white, and I am so not used to her lying down in bed.
I'm still holding her hand. She has just woken up from last night's sleep. Of course , I called up my parents. I called to say that I was visiting a friend.
“Really ? What did I look like?”
“You were just crying. That's it.”
“Forget about it.”
"For how many days am I staying here?”
“It depends.”
“What do you mean it depends?”
“I'm not letting you out until you're better.”
“Nathan, you know that I'm never getting better.”
It was a relief that the door suddenly opened.
Her mother went in.
It's like the usual scene that the daughter would be happy and cry for she hasn't seen her mother in a while.
Here , it's as if she sees her mother everyday that she only gave out a smile.
“Are you Rebecca's boyfriend?”
So her mother still calls her Rebecca. I simply shook my head.
She placed all the fruits she brought on the table.
I thought her mother wouldn't cry because , you know , they're not that close.
But I was so suprised when I saw her break down in tears.
I looked at Mary. But not a single tear fell down her face.
I was baffled over her control over her tear ducts. The door opened once again and this time , it was her dad who entered.
He fell down on his knees and broke down on the floor.
I thought , I haven't seen any scenes like this from the movies I've watched.
But why do I need to compare?
Real life is way different.
I went out because I know that they need to talk.
It was a good that that it was a Saturday , no classes.
The examinations are no big deal. I can take it on.
