Swimming with the girls: Heaven's class

Logan decided he was going to enlist the two year olds in swimming, so they could swim in the pool that he had. He was going to do a special swim class with Heaven for parents whose child has a disability. He was excited to get to spend some one on one time with Heaven during that time in the water

(Heaven's swim lesson)

"Where we going daddy?" Heaven asks her father as they left the house the evening after they had dinner

"We are going to the local community center for swim lessons, so you can learn to swim a little bit" he says as he pushes her up the ramp that he had in the van for her

Logan has the ramp come back up, and the door close as he buckles Heaven in her car seat, so they could head to the community center for their swim lesson

Logan parks in the handicap space for Heaven, so he could get her out of the van, so they could go swimming

"Have you ever been swimming before Heaven?" he asks as they head into the community center

"No daddy I haven't" she says smiling

"Good you are going to love your class cause you are going to be with kids who are in the same boat as you. This is kind of like therapy that you have been going to since after the holidays" he says as they head for the family locker room, so they could get ready for her swim class

Logan got her a pretty swim suit to wear, and she loved wearing it as they headed to the pool where the class was going to be at

"Daddy is going to put your towel right here, so when class is over we can come over here and dry off" he says as he sets their towels down on one of the benches that was in the small pool area

"Logan and Heaven Henderson?" the teacher asks them

"Yes that's us" Logan says to the teacher

"Perfect before class starts I'm going to help Heaven in the water, so she can join the other boys and girls cause I see i have another one that is in the wheelchair that is going to be in the class" the teacher says as she goes to where heaven and the other toddler was going to be lowered into the water, so they could join their parents and their classmates for the class

"Would you like to get in the water now baby girl?" he asks his daughter

"No daddy i want to stay with you" she says as she stay close to him

Logan understood that she was scared of getting in the water that way, and she wanted him to put her in the water for class

"Could it be okay that i put her in the water?" he asks the teacher

"Sure if children do not want the machine it's fine that their parents can put them in the water cause i like my students to be comfortable when they get in the water" the teacher tells Logan as she gets everything ready for class that evening

"See princess daddy is going to put you in the water, so you can be a fishy" he says to Heaven who started to feel better about the class in general

Soon the rest of the class shows up

"Okay princess it's time to get in the water" he says to Heaven

"Okay daddy" she says as she reaches up, so he could pick her up and carry her to the water for their class that night

Logan puts Heaven close to him, so she wasn't scared of the water

"Welcome everyone to the specal killer whale and baby swim class" the teacher says as she got into the water 

All of the parents nod and say hi back

"First we are going to teach kicking, and to the kids who can't kick that's okay you can splash with your hands in the water" the teacher says to Logan and to the other dad whose child was in the wheelchair

"See sweetie you might like this" he says as he lays Heaven on her belly, so she could splash with the the other kids

Heaven really loved it she laughed when she got daddy wet

"Okay Heaven i can see you got this hands down" he says as he wipes the excess water from his face cause Heaven got him good

"Okat it seems the kids have that down now we are going to work on moving our arms in a stroke motion in the water we are going to practice on water first, so the kids can get it" the teacher says to the parents

Heaven liked that cause she got to reach up high, and she got to touch daddy's nose causing him to laugh from the excitement

"We are going to practice that in the water, and then we are going to put that together with the kicking motions" the teacher says to the class

Logan helps Heaven into the water, so she could do the arm movements going from one wall to the next

"Take it slow princess" he says to her

"Okay daddy" she tells him as they start going in the water

Heaven legs weren't really strong yet, and it felt like she was drowning as she moved her arms in the water

"Daddy help" she calls to him

"Princess i got you don't worry I'm not going to let you drown" he says as they continue to go in the water a little bit longer, so the kids could get the feel of the water

Logan held onto Heaven the whole time cause she was scared cause her lower half was sinking into the water

"You are doing good sweetie I am really proud of you" he says as they continue swimming in the water

That made Heaven try harder at swimming cause that gave her the encouragement that she needed

"Don't go too fast" he tells her as they head back for the next thing they were going to learn

"It looks like some of the children were slow going, but don't worry we are going to work on that as the class goes on. Right now we are going to float on our backs" the teacher says to the class

"Daddy i don't like this" heaven says looking up at him

"I'll be right here" he says to her

"The kids are going to try it without the parents for now" the teacher says to the class

"Princess you got this" Logan tells Heaven as he gets her ready to float on her back

Heaven got scared as she was floating on her back, so Logan left with her

"It's okay sweetie if you feel like doing that without me that's fine" he says as he puts her back the wheelchair to go back to the locker room, so they could change and go home
