She and Lena haven't spoken to each other in days. Honestly, Kara missed her best friend, but she knew that Lena had to have her own personal space for the time being.

~Flashback~

"I like you. I like both Kara Danvers and Supergirl," Lena said, her tears streaming down her face.

Kara was shocked. Her jaws hung agape as she stared at the girl who sat before her. Lena liked her?

Kara pursed her lips, "Uhm, Lena. I hate to say this, but, I don't like you. Not in that way."

"Oh, I-I understand. Could you please leave me alone for a while?"

A pang of guilt struck Kara's heart. She leaned over to hug her friend, but . . . Lena flinched. She pulled away from the reporter's grasp. Kara just sighed, "Call me when you're ready to talk. You're my best friend, Lena. I don't like seeing you like this."

With that sentence, Kara walked out of the room.

Even her still heart ached remembering that day. She knew exactly what it was like loving someone who didn't love you back. Kara has had a crush on James since they met, but her heart felt like it broke into a million pieces when he introduced his girlfriend, Lucy Lane, Lois's sister, to her.

~~~~~~~~
She sat at the bar again.
"This is the third time I've seen you this week. Are you okay, Linda?"
She lifted her head, her eyes downcast. Her eyes met his.
"I don't mean to be a bother, but . . . "
"Linda."
"It's just that, someone just confessed to me, and I rejected her feelings. I feel so bad about it."
He smiled, as if he understood, "I know what you feel. I have had a similar experience before. But look at me now, maintaining a long-distance relationship with my loving girlfriend. An alien from Titan."
He loved a Titanian?
"Her name is Imra Ardeen."
She smiled, nodding. She downed the Club Soda, and requested for another.
Mike grinned, "Comin' right up!"
As he turned, she spotted something. A pebble-like structure that bore the sigil of the House of El hung around his neck by a silk thread. That was Kryptonian. But why would a Daxamite, a loyal Daxamite, for that matter, have it? Why would it specifically be the sigil of her house?
As the questions swam in her mind, she realised that she was staring blankly at her new cup of Club Soda. Blushing with embarrassment, she downed the drink again.
"You good?"
Kara nodded, "Hey, can I ask a question? Where did you get this rock? With Supergirl's logo on it?"
He looked down, "Oh, this? It was given to me by a Kryptonian. Quite a few years back. She said it was the symbol of the House of El. Her house. The 'S' design represented the motto 'Stronger Together'."
Kara was shocked, "I have to go."
~~~~~~~~

Kara flopped on her bed. Who was Mike? Did she know him? How did he have a Kryptonian Token? How did he have her family's Token? Did he steal it? Did someone from her family give it to Mike while they were still on Krypton?

She looked across the room, where the picture of her cousin and her flying in midair hung. James had given that to her.

As she stood up to walk to the other end of the loft, her head pounded. She fiddled with the drawers, trying to pull out her headache medication. [A/N: Don't ask.]

As she yanked one of the drawers open, she felt around for the pills. Suddenly, her hand came into contact with a piece of metal, her fingers drawing back as she touched it. Felt a strange jolt shoot through her body.

She reached her hand back into the drawer, her fingers closing around the cool metal plating. She could feel the marks engraved on the metal piece. Knew it was a circle.

As she gradually pulled the metal piece out, her heart stopped. It was a Token. A Daxamite Token.

A Daxamite sigil. A circle with a V-shaped symbol inside of it. The same as Valor's logo. She gave a start.

Her head hurt. Her ears rang. Black spots formed in her vision.

Then it all came back. It all came flooding back.

Krypton. The boy she met years ago. A Daxamite. The agreement.

She stumbled back. How did she forget it all?

She picked up the Token. She recognised it. It was what the boy, the Prince of Daxam, Mon-El, gave her before they parted ways.

She recalled the logo upon the chest of Valor. The exact same symbol.

Valor may be friends with Mike. But, Valor wasn't just a friend of the Prince of Daxam.

Valor was Mon-El, the Prince of Daxam.

And the first person she ever truly loved . . .
