Home alone

We arrive at my house and I groan when there's no car in the drive it means that my parents haven't even bothered at all to make the effort to come home for my first day. I slowly make my way up the stairs of the house and realise that Alex is following me, I turn and say "you don't need to come up I'll be fine, I normally stay home alone through the day", Alex then said "I would like for you to contact your parents once inside to find out when they will be coming home". I groan because I'm sure my parents will tell me they aren't coming home and won't know when they will be coming home.

I unlock the front door and walk in with Alex following me we make our way into the living room and sit on the couch where Alex gives me a look as if to say well what are you waiting for, I make the call and start to panic knowing the most likely outcome of the phone conversation.

Phone conversation

Miracle - Mira
Mrs Jones - Mrs J

Mira - hi mum, how's your day going?
Mrs J - it's really busy Miracle, what can I help you with?
Mira - I just wondered when you were going to be home
Mrs J - oh Miracle sweetie, we won't be home for about 2 weeks you have your cards and everything and if there is an emergency you can call your aunt.
Mira - ok mum I'll speak to you soon. Bye.
Mrs J - bye Mira

Alex just looks at me and says nothing at all I'm kind of worried, but don't know what to say as I'm so used to this happening. I wish he would say something though he's making me very nervous from the way he is not saying anything. So I try and ask him "Alex, are you ok?" He just looks at me with an incredulous look on his face and says "Miracle, are you serious am I ok what about you, your parents aren't coming home for 2 weeks at least", I just shrug like it's nothing which it really isn't as it's the norm for us.

Alex De Luca POV

I just stand in her living room not knowing what to say still. How can any parent leave their child home alone for 2 weeks and Miracle just shrugged it off like it isn't a big deal, I'm trying to stay calm because my Dom side is dying to come out from the way she's being treated and how she seems to think it's acceptable behaviour to be left like this. I make the decision to call Nicole and talk to her about what I've just heard. I tell Miracle to go get changed while I make a quick phone call, she agrees and heads up the stairs.

Phone conversation

Nicole - Nic
Alexander - Alex

Alex - hey babe, how are you getting on?
Nic - it's going well babe, how are things with Miracle
Alex - it's complicated babe, I got Miracle to contact her parents when we arrived at her house and her mother just told her that they won't be home for 2 weeks and if there is an emergency to contact her aunt. I don't know what to do I am so angry right now, but I don't want to scare Miracle and another thing is, she's not bothered at all and acts like this a normal thing for them. 
Nic - I think maybe we should speak to her about staying with us. I'm finished shortly so I'll come over and we can talk to her together babe. See you soon love you.
Alex - love you to babe.

Alex puts his phone away and hears Miracle heading down the stairs when he looks at her he can't believe how beautiful she looks and says "wow, you look beautiful Miracle", Miracle blushed and continued to walk towards the living room. Miracle sits down on the couch and Alex joins her and says that Nicole is on the way and Miracle looks at me and says "why is she coming?", I just sit there and say "don't worry, you'll find out when she arrives." I decide to put on the tv and choose a cartoon show for Miracle to watch while we wait for Nicole.

Skip to Nicole's arrival

The doorbell rings and Miracle goes to answer the door, I can't help but watch her walk and think how amazing she looks and then hear murmurs of chatter and realise that Nicole is here and talking to Miracle. Miracle then offers us both something to drink, which we both accept. When she leaves Nicole's looks at me and says "wow, she is stunning in that outfit don't you think?" I just reply with "yeah, she looks amazing." When Miracle comes back into the room Nicole then says "Miracle I think you should come stay with us while your parents are away, I just feel like I am not doing my job if I allow you to stay home alone." Miracle replies with "but I stay home alone quite often this is nothing new to me." I then stand and say "Miracle please come stay with us, I don't want to leave you here alone and then if you like we can have more days like today." Miracle looks at me and smiles and commented on how much she enjoyed spending time with me and then said "if your sure I won't be a burden to you then I would like to stay with you." Nicole then sends Miracle upstairs to pack her bags for a stay with us. She looks at me and says "when do you think we can talk to her about being our little?" I just say "give her time to get used to staying with us." Miracle comes down with a suitcase and a duffel bag and I go to grab both but she only allows me to take her suitcase I go to ask her about it but realise she's worried about something. But decide to wait till we get back to the house to talk to her about it.
