TWO YEARS LATER

Amanda

"Happy anniversary, kitten."

I heard Harry whisper from behind me as I opened my eyes and was met with a breathtaking sight.

It was a house.

But not just any house. It was one that Harry and I had fell in love with the minute we laid our eyes on it months ago while we were house-hunting, but had been off the market.

"Harry," I breathed, standing in shock as he smiled at me and held up a set of keys. "How did you..."

"I'd been talking to the seller for a long time, and he told me that the last buyers dropped, so.... I wanted to surprise you for our anniversary and an early birthday present." He grinned at me, holding the keys out for me and I felt like I could explode.

"So, this, this house is-"

"Yeah," He chuckled. "It's ours."

Ours.

I liked the way that sounded.

I threw my arms around him and pulled him to me as I squealed with delight.

It'd been over two years since everything with Jordan.

I had finally started in my career, Harry and I's relationship has grown so much.

Even though we had a lot of good memories in that house, too many bad things had happened as well.

This house was also the complete opposite of our current one. It was smaller, had a nice backyard for the kids, and the most important thing was that it was ours.

Not Jordan and Harry's. Completely and one-hundred percent our own.

Harry had already planned a dinner with my  some of my friends who I haven't seen in a while for my birthday tomorrow, but this was the absolute best gift.

"This is the best present," I whispered to him, giving him a kiss on the lips as he pulled me to him. His lips trailed down behind my ear, where I started to laugh.

"That never gets old," He grinned, kissing me again before taking my hand and leading me up the steps of the house.

When we got back home, Serena was playing with Josie and Max in living room, laughing as we walked inside.

"There are the lovebirds!" Serena laughed, helping Max stand up.

"Mommy, daddy, look at what aunty Serena taught me!" Josie jumped up from the floor and took a deep breath before jumping into a cartwheel.

"Wow, Princess," Harry breathed as we clapped with support. "You're a real pro, you know that?" He whispered, and she nodded confidently.

"Let's go Maxie, I'm gonna show you how to do a pirouette!" She whispered to Max and the two of them took off into the play room, giggling as they skipped away.

"I know I say this every time, but your kids are absolute angels," Serena told us, standing up from the floor. "How was your night?" she questioned, eyeing me, as my smile probably gave it away.

"Perfect. The house I was telling you about is now ours." I grinned, feeling Harry's arms snake around my waist as he gave me a kiss on the cheek. I watched as her face went blank for a few seconds before she smiled.

"That's great," She coughed, grabbing her bag by the door, suddenly seeming in a rush. "Well I have to go, but I know you're going to tell me all about it tomorrow night."

"Is... everything okay?" I muttered, stepping away from Harry as she looked down at her phone quickly, and then back at us.

"Yeah, of course. Um, Oliver's having some sort of crisis. You know his like fifth for the week," she laughed and shrugged, but her eyes kept shifting between the two of us.

"Is he okay? Did he-"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm sure he's fine. He just didn't want to bother you, so I'm gonna go." She sighed, making her way to the door.

I knew my best friend and that whatever was making her so nervous right now, wasn't because of Oliver...

"Well thank you for watching the kids tonight," Harry told her, and she grinned.

"Of course, like I said they're angels," She breathed, taking a deep breath and looking at us carefully before opening the front door. "See you tomorrow at 9 right?"

"Right." I said as she walked out of the door. When it shut behind her, I turned around to Harry who was already making his way into the kitchen.

"Did she seem... weird to you?" I asked, watching as he grabbed a glass from the cupboard and shook his head. "She did a look." I told him and he just looked at me and laughed.

"You're overthinking it, babe." He whispered, pouring himself a glass of water. "she was probably just happy to be relieved of her babysitting duties." He joked, and I shrugged.

"You're probably right." I sighed, as he made his way back over to me. "I'm gonna go put Jose and Max to bed-

"I'll put them to bed." He told me, giving me a kiss on the forehead. "You go take a nice relaxing bath, and when you get out, I'll be in our bed waiting for you," He winked and I couldn't help but laugh as I knew exactly what he was suggesting.

"I guess I'd better hurry then," I smirked, making my way up the stairs.

Harry

Today was Amanda's 23rd birthday.

When I woke up she was still sleeping peacefully next to me, her dark hair sprawled perfectly over the pillows, and a slight grin on her face as she dreamt.

If you would've told me five years ago, that I would have two kids and be married to the love of my life right now, I would've told you to go fuck yourself.

But it was true and I couldn't be happier.

The person I was years ago couldn't see myself with anyone besides Jordan or even having a family because of how trapped I felt...

But now, there was nothing that made me happier than seeing the smiles on Josie and Max's faces when I came home from work, or the way that Amanda looks at me before she says 'I love you' every night before bed.

I snapped out of my thoughts as she shifted on the bed, and then slowly opened her eyes as she yawned.

"Happy birthday, my love." I told her, giving her a kiss on the lips as she smiled and sat up in the bed.

"Thank you, Harry." She cooed, wrapping her arms around my neck as she pulled me close. "I can't wait to wake up next to you in our new house." She grinned, and I couldn't help but laugh at her excitement.

"Is it too late for us to stay home from work?" She sighed, tossing the bed sheets off of her.

"You'll be done before you know it, and then we have the rest of the night to celebrate." I told her as she stood up from the bed, before wincing after she took a step and sat back down.

"I think we did enough celebrating last night because I feel like I can't walk." She groaned, but then started to laugh as I swooped her off the bed.

"Don't worry, I'll carry you."
