"Hello! Why the sad faces guys?"

Mukhang inutangan ng malaki ang mga mukha ng tao rito sa firm. Kakaupo ko pa lamang sa desk ko nang bumulong agad saakin si Olive, ang deskmate ko.

"Badtrip si Miss G. Hindi rin namin knows kung bakit. Kastress! Umagang umaga." Hinilot pa nito ang kaniyang sintido at bumuntong hininga. I nodded in response.

Sumilip ako sa glass door ng opisina ni Miss G, ang boss namin dito sa firm. Hindi ko siya nakikita pero may isang babaeng nakatungo lamang sa harapan ng mesa nito. Maya maya pa ay lumabas ang babae, which turns out na workmate rin namin pero hindi ko gaano kaclose.

"Architect Del Valle! Get inside my office!" Nagpanting ang mga tainga namin sa sigaw ni Miss G at napabalikwas naman ako kaagad sa upuan ko. Dali dali kong inayos ang sarili ko at mabilis na naglakad papasok. Nakita ko pang sinenyasan ako ni Olive ng, Go girl.

Hindi naman masungit si Miss G. Katunayan ay sobrang bait niya saamin kaya nga ayaw kong umalis dito. Ayoko mang sabihin pero minsan feeling favorite niya ako. Nakakatakot nga lang siya kapag nagagalit. Hindi ba ganoon naman talaga? Nakakatakot magaling ang sobrang mabait.

I smiled as I entered her office to make her calm down. She's breathing slowly to ease her anger and when she's already composed, she let me sit.

"Forgive me for shouting, Architect. By the way, are you done with your latest project?" She's smiling at me now like she's not angry a while ago. She's in her mid 40's and she's a matandang dalaga.

"Yes, Ma'am. I sent it in your email an hour ago." I nodded and handed her the printed version to see it for herself. 

"Good. Because I'm giving you another project. Since Architect Ty failed to do her part, I'm giving it to you." Nakatingin lamang ako sakaniya at napapaisip. So, second choice lang ako ganon?  I was about to ask something when she continued talking.

"Actually, sayo talaga dapat ito kaso nga lang I'm giving chance to others. However, she failed to fulfill her duty. I'm disappointed in her. I hope you take this one."

"I will." Agad kong sagot sakaniya. Hindi naman ako tumatanggi sa kahit anong project na ibigay niya saakin. Bukod sa gusto kong magkaroon ng sarili kong pera ay gusto ko rin maging abala sa buhay. Being busy kept me moving forward these past few years.

Naisip ko rin noon na, it sucks that I have to keep myself busy just to feel okay. But shit happens, life goes on.

"I already set up a meeting with the client two hours from now. Be ready." In an instant, a notification appeared on my phone. She messaged me the details of where we will meet. Sinenyasan niya naman ako na pwede na akong lumabas.

Agad akong naghanda at nag ayos ng sarili ko. Buti na lang at maganda ang outfit ko today dahil hindi ako ready makipag-meet sa mga client kapag hindi maayos at maganda ang OOTD ko. Wala lang, conscious lang ako.

I drove to the coffee shop where we will be meeting and I'm 15 minutes earlier. Nag order muna ako ng maiinom ko. I forgot to ask Miss G kung anong name ng client at baka nakalimutan niya ring sabihin dahil stressed siya kanina. I hope mapansin niya agad na ako 'yung ka-meeting niya dahil dalawa pa lang kaming andito sa loob ng shop.

"Architect Del Valle." Napatingala ako sa lalaking nagsalita sa harapan ko. I was very familiar and when our eyes met, I was surprised.

"PJ?" A crease formed in my forehead and immediately stood up to shake his hand.

"The legendary Peter Jarvis." He smirked and took his seat. Naupo na rin ako at may nilabas siyang folder. Inabot niya ito saakin at it was a site.
