Chapter 4: Tired

I squinted my eyes as the blinding rays of sunlight hit my skin. Kinusot ko ang mga mata at inunat ang mga braso. 

A strange feeling enveloped my heart as soon as I woke up. I feel refreshed despite feeling hot because of the drinks I consumed last night. 

I feel so light like a dust flowing wherever the wind brings her. Nanatili akong naka-upo sa kama at ninamnam ang pakiramdam. Ngayon na lang ulit ako nagising na parang walang mabigat sa aking dibdib. 

For the first time in a while... I feel at peace. 

Ang gaan ng pakiramdam ko kahit alam kong paglabas ko sa apat na sulok ng silid na ito ay sasalubong sa aking ang mabibigat na problemang kinakaharap ko. 

Nagpasya akong bumangon at ayusin ang aking kama. I opened my phone to check for messages and other notifications while I find clothes to wear. I grabbed a towel and proceeded to the bathroom. I scrolled through my music to search for a song I can listen in the shower. 

As I went under the shower, everything flowed like a landslide. 

Shit! Shit! Shit! What the hell did I do last night? 

"Bakit hindi mo ako pinipilit makipag-usap ulit sa 'yo? Pagod ka na ba? Ayaw mo na ba sa akin?" 

Napapikit ako sa kahihiyan. Damn, did I really just said that to someone I claim to hate? 

"If you think people slammed their doors on you, I am here, knocking on yours. Waiting until you're ready to open up for me." 

Fuck.Pinatay ko ang shower para pag-isipang mabuti lahat ng naalala. 

This is not right. I shouldn't be talking to him! Dapat ay iniiwasan ko siya. Hindi pwedeng ganoon na lang.

Ibinaon ko ang parehas na kamay sa aking mukha na para bang mabubura noon lahat ng alaala kagabi.

I finished showering with a headache. Not from hangover, but from all the thinking I did.

I was drunk! It would be understandable if I don't remember anything. Right? Right. Hindi dapat ako bumigay sa mga salita niyang iyon. Ganoong-ganoon niya ako nakuha. Sa mga mabubulaklak na salita. I should know better.
