#25 An Infected Halloween Night p1 & p2

It is finally Halloween night. The moon is as bright and as round as ever before. The kids are getting their costumes ready at the safe house. They decided to get ready together since their older siblings had to be ready to spook them in the forest. Y/N, Poley, and surprisingly Mousy was there with them. The two young adults were waiting in the living room, while Y/N was upstairs helping them with their costumes.

"You didn't have to bring me here, Poley. I know I am quite the handful when it comes to moving around," Mousy said playing with her light curls while chuckling. "Nah, it's alright. You talked about how you wanted to participate in the events. Since its a day off for me... why not." "Is this how you plan to have our friendly dinner?" Mousy giggled. Poley rubbed the back of his head nervously. "I haven't planned anything about that yet,"

"I'm curious, why'd you asked me to dinner anyway?"

"It's a long story..."

"Well, I'm...looking forward to it," Mousy smiled shyly at him. He blushed, clearing his throat. "Since we talking about it now, when are you free?" "Uhm, I'm free next Friday." "Sounds like a plan."

"More like a date to me," Said a teasing voice from the stairs.

Poley and Mousy blushed harder. "Y/N!!" Poley grumbled at her. Y/N laughed, skipping down the stairs happily, leaning herself on the sofa the two were sitting on. "What are you wearing?" Poley asks changing the subject. "This is the same outfit I wore during the infection, thought it'd be cool to wear this as my costume."

"Don't you think you're too old for costumes?" "You're never too old for anything!" Y/N stuck her tongue out at him. Poley rolled his eyes playfully at her. Mousy smiled at how the two got along.

"There, those are the two last bottles of 'potions'," Penny said. "Is everything ready?" She asks in a loud voice. Penny is holding her bat covered with fake blood as she walked through the now decorated forest. Her dress is dusty and her eyes blood red. It was all fake of course. But with the help of a few make-uppers, it looked 10x more realistic. Penney found Bunny looking at one of the adult-size statues that are placed all around the forest route. The one Bunny is looking at is a zombie pig. With a bone in its hand.

"Hey, Bunny! What's wrong?" Penny asks. Bunny hasn't been acting like herself for the past two days, so she was worried. Bunny noticed her and shook her head. Bunny had dressed up like her infected-self as well. In fact, everyone did. "It's nothing. This zombie pig just reminded me of the creepy days,"

"Cheer up Bunny! It's Halloween. Which means we're one step closer to a whole new year! New year means new wishes, and new beginnings in relationships~" Penny smirked at her. Bunny tilted her head not understanding what Penny meant.

Penny sighs, "Nevermind..." She mumbled. "Come on, there's still stuff to do!" Penny said pulling Bunny along with her.

"Gosh, I look horrifying!" Zizzy said looking at herself in the mirror in the main cabin. "But why do we have to wear lightly ripped clothes?" She asks Pony. "Maybe it'll look like we struggled to fight off the infected...?" "Doesn't seem like it. It just looked like we almost got eaten alive by a monster." "That's the point..." Foxy mumbled beside her rolling her eyes.

"Guys! It's 6 o'clock! Is everyone ready?" Sheepy burst through the door looking panicked. "Calm down, it's not like a swarm of people will just suddenly show up," Girraffy said.

"Uh, yeah. And the thing you just said didn't just happen either," Mimi glared at him. Suddenly they heard a lot of commotion in the distance.
