I'll have to be stupid to let you go......⚜️

Alestia

Despair.

I slumped into the chair in despair as the meeting was dismissed.

It took a while get back my energy to even move back but before I could step out of the room the deans voice rang.

"Alestia, stay back."

A part of me wanted to ignore him. To scream in his face that Levi had misplaced his trust on him.

That I had misplaced my trust on him, thinking he actually cared about Levi.

I stood for a long time, clenching my fist infront of the door. Not exiting but not turning around either.

"I'm not giving up on him, dear."

The dean's soft voice was the last straw that made me snap.

"Of course not, it's called 'remaining stationary until receiving further information' right?"

I snapped at him, finally turning around, heavy sarcasm lacing my words.

He chuckled slightly at my angered form before ushering me towards a seat. It was only then I noticed that Ace and Aurora too remained in the room watching our exchange.

Ace watched with slight.... nervousness? And Aurora with blatant excitement.

"Take a seat, dear."

Knowing being moody was going to help no one, I begrudgingly took a seat.

"One week. Within one week we'll start our preparation to get him back."

My eyes snapped up to the deans in bewilderment. Didn't he just abandon Levi before?

"I would never leave an agent to face danger by themselves let alone Levi being the individual in here. "

I was beyond confused. First, it was Romanov sparing me for some odd reason and leaving me behind and taking Levi instead.

Now it was the dean's controversy.

People were so complicated.

Apparently I wasn't the only one surprised as Ace blatantly glared at the dean, while Aurora smirked seemingly satisfied at the outcome.

But what that outcome was? I didn't know.

I was surely missing something.

"You can't just decide that for me!"

Ace growled at the dean, who merely gave him a bored look before digging through a pile of files from a drawer.

"I can and will, that immaturity of yours will get Levi killed . You don't want that, do you?"

The dean's provocation made Ace clench his teeth harder. Whatever he had to do to save Levi, was going to cause him much trouble.

Ace closed his eyes and clutched his head for a moment. Rubbing his hand up and down his face he finally sighed.

"Fine. I'll go."

The dean and Aurora revealed eeriely similar grins as if they had won an Oscar.

"Going where?"

I certainly didn't appreciate the feeling of left out. My emotions were running all over the place. Fear. Anxiety. Nervousness. Helplessness.

And this wasn't helping.
