Camila stared down at the letter on her desk blankly for who knows how long before picking up her phone in a panic and FaceTiming her best friend.
"Bristol!" Camila called out as soon as the blonde had answered the phone. "He said yes!"
"What? Who said yes?"
"Shawn, the letter guy!"
"What did he say yes to?" Bristol asked, still completely confused.
"When you were drunk you convinced me to invite him to Miami and he said yes. He's coming to Miami."
"Good for you. You need some good dick in your life."
"Not funny Bris! I didn't think he'd actually say yes, what do I do?" Camila asked in a panic.
"Um...have fun?"
"Ugh, you're no help."
"What do you mean?" Bristol scoffed in offense. "I convinced him to cross the Canadian border for you - that seems pretty helpful to me."
"He's bringing a friend for you," Camila said sassily.
"I love when hot guys have friends."
"I know you do," the brunette giggled. "But that means it's all four of us hanging out! I need backup in case he turns out to be a total creep."
"Bristol security, at your service!"
"You're a pain in the ass, but you're also the best. Love you, Bris."
"Love you too, bitch!"
"Ah yes, the classic term of endearment," Camila sighed before hanging up. She looked back down at the letter and immediately felt the unfamiliar feeling of butterflies taking flight in her stomach. She pulled up her calendar and found a few days that she had free about a month out. She texted Bristol to make sure the dates would work for her too before getting out a piece of paper to write her response to Shawn.
Shawn, First things first - yes, I did get some lemonade the next day. Also, your letter sign-offs are always great! You're crushing it. I'm so happy to hear that you and Brian are excited to come to Miami! I would've been willing to come to Toronto but I get grumpy when I'm cold and I'd like to make a good first impression so it might be better for us to meet in person for the first time in a warm climate. As far as dates, would early October work? Bristol and I are free the 7th through the 9th. If that works for you feel free to go ahead and book everything. If not then just let me know and we can figure out different dates. I'm really excited to meet you in person. Bristol is also very excited to meet Brian. Hopefully those two meeting doesn't end up being a total pain in the ass for us. Anyway...let me know if those days work for you or not. I'm excited. :)
