"Just a reminder, that we're ten minutes away till 2020! Let me hear the cheers!"

The crowd was feeling ecstatic, moving along to the music as the DJ continued with his beats. Heads bopping and bodies swinging, everyone was living in the night as they enjoyed the new year's party. These were all soon-to-be adults, as they waited for the chance to finally show off their IDs proving they're grown up. But for now, they're still minors. So no alcohol in this party.

Or at least, until the ten minutes are up.

But amidst this crowd of people dancing and chatting, a few were alone. Not that they didn't have anyone, they just rather keep to themselves. And one of these people is just silently leaning on the wall near the window, looking at the bright moon while sipping on the cherry flavored cola.

"Ayo Yeonri!", Nari came up and stood next to the silent girl. Hearing her name, she turned around gently as her silver hair blew out of her face.

Since she's going be a adult soon, might as well try something extraordinary right? That's what Jung Yeonri thought, as she self dyed her hair two hours before the party started. As always, she came in drop dead gorgeous that almost no one had their eyes off her. But she didn't bother sparing a glance at anyone except her friends.

"What is it?", her melodious voice bringing almost anyone into a trance, she was definitely someone for sure. Yet she would prefer to stay under the shadows instead.

"What are you doing here alone? You're at a party!!", Her best friend, Nari exclaimed.

"No, thanks. I would rather be alone"

"Aww, what are you so shy for huh?"

"I'm not shy, parties are just not my thing. You know that already"

"Yeah sure, but you should at least try to vibe a little!", Nari said as she sipped on her Sprite.

"Still, no", Yeonri continued staring out of the window, as she silently drank her cola till the last drop. Crushing the can in her hands, a sudden person came at them both.

"There you are! I was looking for you two", Jihye went up to them and linked both of her arms with them. "How has the party been so far?"

"Pretty awesome!"
"Pretty lame"

Both Nari and Yeonri answered at the same time.

"Lame? What are you on about?", Jihye questioned.

"It's just, you know I don't like parties. And I can sense everyone staring at me so"

"Well, you are pretty obvious with that hair"

"Can't a girl just dye her hair in peace?", Yeonri combed her hair using her hand as she rolled her eyes. "I don't get it"

"Hmm, yea sure", Nari replied. "Anyways where were you Hye?"

"Trying the find the boys. Jaem's trying to stuff as many marshmallows as he can in his mouth. I told him he might choke but said he was fine. Or at least, I think he was telling me that"

"Boys", Nari sighed. "What about Hyuck then?"

"Doing the same", Jihye replied nonchalantly.

"Oh okay", Nari swayed her head to the music until she abruptly stopped. "He's doing WHAT!?"

"Ow, don't shout in my ear!", Yeonri complained.

"That knucklehead of a brother I got", Nari sighed. "I'm gonna get him, help me Hye", the said girl replied with an okay sign as she finished her soda.

"Bye Yeonri!", the silver hair girl waved lazily at them. As soon as they left, an announcement was suddenly made.

"What's up guys! It's the host, Chenle. How's the party!?", the boy smiled as he stood on the DJ podium. Hearing cheers from the crowd, he smiled even bigger.

"Well guess what! We're three minutes away until the clock strikes midnight! With that, it's time for everyone to find someone and give a kiss to!"

Yeonri choked on her saliva. "What!?"

"You heard that right! Find someone, and give them a kiss as soon as it's midnight! On the lips or the cheek, it doesn't matter. For extra good luck and for a wonderful year. Make sure to choose wisely!"

Great. Nari and Jihye are gone so she can't do that. She has no one else already. What is she going to do? Maybe she can leave the party before it's midnight-

"Oops! It's two minutes already. Time to turn off the lights and hopefully find the one fit for you. Quickly everyone!"

"What the absolute fuck", Yeonri cursed under her breath. There was no time for her to adjust to the darkness as she walked blindly, bumping into the crowd and hopefully being able to leave the party. Although the chances are slim, who knew these many teens would come.

"One last thing, the person that doesn't find someone to kiss will have to do a little punishment. Nothing too much, just for fun after all!"

"Chenle, you insane little orangehead"

At last, Yeonri gave up. There was only a minute left, and she couldn't find the exit. She doesn't want to do the punishment too, so she hoped that maybe someone would come and save her at least. Even if it's a stranger, she doesn't mind. It's not like she believes in such a tradition anyway.

"Oh? Hey there", it was dark, but Yeonri could still make out a figure standing in front of her. It was most likely a boy, considering the voice.

"Hey, need someone to kiss?", Yeonri shrugged.

"I do actually, but uhh this is awkward", the boy rubbed his nape.

"I know, but let's just hope for the best dear stranger", Yeonri smiled.

Placing her arms around his neck, the unidentified boy first asked if it was okay to hold her by the waist. Which she agreed.

"Wow, this is pretty nerve wrecking", the boy chuckled.

"Really is"

7...6...5...

"Are you ready?"

"Let's just get this over with"

"You sound like a hot person by the way"

"Why, thank you for the compliment. You sound pretty yourself"

2...1!!!

Here goes nothing, they both thought.

And together their lips met. At first it was only both of them touching, but then one of them made the move. Which led to the other replying, and soon into a full-blown makeout which they both enjoyed a lot, not going to lie.

Pulling each other closer, it was like the two were magnets as they hardly had the urge to pull away. Instead, it continued on and on as they felt themselves being lost in each other.

Warmth between them two, the boy took a step further and pushed her against the wall. Not even once taking a break, it soon led to lack of oxygen and they hesitantly broke apart.

A kiss with a stranger and yet it was the best one I ever had, they both thought.

"HAPPY 2020!", everyone cheered.

The lights were back on already, everyone was already done with their kiss except for a few horny exceptions. As for these two, they calmed themselves down with their eyes still closed.

"Do we open our eyes now?", Yeonri asked, which the boy only hummed in response.

And together, the two finally opened their eyes which soon grew big as they saw the other, noticing that they both shared the same friend group.

Well there goes for being total strangers, huh?

"Oh...Yeonri", the blue hair boy said.

"Yeah... I'm surprised as you are, Jaemin"
