Chapter 7

Y/Ns POV

I kept my music quiet because I didn't want Bucky to scare me again. I walked over to the calendar and noticed that it was already Wednesday. That meant it was mail day. I turned off the stove and put on my slippers. I walked down to the mailboxes and collected my mail and checked for Bucky's, even though he never got any. Today was no different. After I was done, I walked back up and from the stairs that led to my place, I could see Buck's door open. I slowly walked to my door, which had a direct view into Bucky's place and I saw someone walking around, like they were looking for something. When he turned to look out the window, I saw the shield. It was Captain America. Panicked, I ran as quietly as I could into my apartment. Shit shit shit shit shit. Was he looking for me? No that's insane. Oh no, he was looking for Bucky. I paced my apartment a few times while trying to think of what to do. Bucky's gonna come home and see him. If he doesn't, I'm gonna have to tell him. FUCK. I grabbed the gun that we kept under the sink and held it steady down by my side. I heard footsteps walk up and then they stopped. I knew it was Bucky. He then walked into his place. I glued my ear to the door and heard their conversation.

"You're Steve. I read about you in a museum." He said. That's right! They know each other. Well, Steve knows Bucky. I then heard a bunch of footsteps running up our flight of stairs and some talking that sounded Russian. I backed up and held my gun up for protection. Suddenly I heard all the action next door. FUCK FUCK FUCK. My free hand flew to my forehead as I couldn't even process how this was all happening so fast.Suddenly two SWAT team members crashed through the windows of my apartment with guns drawn. Without thinking, I Flipped over the coffee table knocking one guy down and then shot the other one. While the other guy was getting up, I threw a lamp at him and then pushed him back out the window. I heard a loud crash from the hallway and then I heard Bucky's voice clearly. He made it out. With this adrenaline, I kicked down my door, hitting two guards in the back. I shot through the door and into their backs and then fired at anyone coming near me.

BUCKYS POV

When I made it out to the hall, There were so many other guards. After knocking some out, I looked over and saw Y/N on top of her knocked down door, shooting at the guards. I was happy to see her fighting but also felt the need to protect her because she was pregnant. Bullets were flying and she was going to run out of bullets soon. I grabbed the guard that crashed through the glass ceiling and swung down to the next floor.

Y/Ns POV

I saw Steve walk out of Bucky's apartment and crush a policeman's walkie talkie. He looked up at me with confused eyes but kept fighting. He jumped down to where Bucky was.

BUCKYS POV

"Buck! Who is that?" I heard Steve yell, pointing at Y/N. I didn't answer, instead I kept fighting. I gave Y/N the signal to go to our emergency place if anything was wrong, which was just whipping under our nose. She saw and nodded her hand and ran. I knocked one of the military guys over the railing but Steve caught him.

"C'mon man." He groaned. I elbowed the guy behind me and ran behind him. I grabbed the railing and used it as a way to get to the second floor, kicking down more guards. I looked up and saw someone about to shoot at me but Steve threw his shield and knocked him out. I wasn't sure why he was helping me. Realizing I didn't have a way out, I jumped down about 5 flights of stairs and saw Y/N. I grabbed the railing with my metal arm and groaned, which got her attention.

Y/Ns POV

When I got the signal from Bucky, I ran back into my apartment and climbed onto the fire escape. I went down about 7 floors and then opened the window to a vacant apartment. I climbed through and once I opened the door to go out into the hall, I saw Bucky fall and grab onto the railing.
