Person B is genderfluid. One day, Person A sees and talks to B when they're a man. A, absolutely enamored by them, thinks about them for a while and just can't seem to get them out of their head. Another day, however, A sees B again, only this time-they're a woman. A,  a(n) pan/bi/omnisexual, is awestruck by this version of B too, yet doesn't realize that the two people are actually the same. Instead, they simply blame it on them having a type and start to think over whether they liked the man or the woman more, and which they should try to ask out. Meanwhile, B keeps thinking about their two encounters with A and gathers the courage to ask them out, which they do whilst being a man/woman. A, not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, accepts, even though they still like the supposed other person too. When the two meet-up, B is the opposite gender of what they were when they asked A out. (If they were female-presenting then, they're male-presenting at the date and vice-versa.) Cue A's realization and admission that it's fine because they're bi/pan/omnisexual anyways.
