A Second Chance (A Reylo Fanfic)

chapter 1: the nightmare

Rey can sense he is near, then man who was once her enemy, now her dear friend. She would normally be thrilled he was here but, she couldn't help but feel as if she had been there before. All of the sudden she heard a manacing voice, and it all hit her at once. She recognised his voice anywhere, it was the voice of her grandfather. The old emperor Palpatine. Rey remembered the teriffiying moment as her own grandfather drained there life force out of her and Ben, just to give himself more power. She slowly meditated for a moment whispering "be with me, be with me" remembering her training with Leia, hoping to hear them voices of the past jedi who lived before her. Rey only heard one jedi she couldn't make out what the jedi was saying before he was cut off by his voice. Emperor Palatine voice telling her "a scavenger girl, your no match for the power in me, I am all the sith!" She briefly saw the legendary light saber whip in her hand as she repeated her lines, "and i... am all the jedi." The vision flashed forward. As the emperor was destroyed her almost life-less body immediately fell to the ground. In her dream she saw all of this happen from a different perspective, not from her own body but right above it. She watched as Ben slowly inched towards her in pain and picked up her now completely life-less body and started crying above her. She could never stop replaying this exact moment in her head as she started crying softly saying "Ben don't leave, don't make the sacrifice", and she slowly started balling as he began to force heal her. At this point Rey was preforming a combination of screaming and crying as she kissed Ben for a second, and then faded away for good. Suddenly her dream sped up to the point where the lady on tatooine asked her what her name was. Rey was still crying as she saw the other version of her look to their side to spot luke and leias  force ghosts. And then she replied "Rey Solo." "Master, master" she heard a voice say as she continues to shed tears.

Rey gasped as she wiped her tears while waking up to the sort of calming and sort of concerning look on her apprentices face."Oh master thank goodness your all right, but this is the 4th time this week you've woken up either screaming or crying, tell me what's wrong". "Don't worry about me Bellan I'm fine, I just had a little nightmare, that's all now go back to bed young one" said rey. But Bellan refused, she was just a padawan learner, but she was strong enough with them force to sense her master wasn't telling her the whole truth."master rey, please don't shut me out again, I can't stand seeing you in pain after you've done so much for me." Her master gave a sigh as she began to feel a presence she haven't felt in a long long time.

Reeeeeyy... the voice said. And slowly 2 ghosts appeared beside them. One of them was her old master, Luke Skywalker. The other one was unclear but beginning to take shape. She could soon tell it was her apprentices grandfather, master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Rey has never met Mr. Kenobi before. All she's ever heard were stories from Luke about how brave he was during the clone wars and even the beginning of the rebellion. Suddenly rey stopped crying and instead was overun with delight for herself and Bellan. Bellan would finally be able to meet her grandfather. Luke showed up because he sensed another disturbance in the force referring to Rey's nightmare of the past. Rey then decided to ask her old master Luke about,"I thought jedi were supposed to have dreams of the future not nightmares of the past" she said with sadness. Luke said he has never experienced anything else like it before. That's when Bellan finally said something. "LIKE WHAT IN THE DIDDLY DANG DONUTS JUST HAPPENED HERE." She screamed. All 3 of them shared a laugh as poor little Bellan was so confused as to what just happened right in front of her eyes. Rey told her "this is my old master Luke Skywalker, and he is Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, he is also your grandfther". obi wan interjected and said she can call him Ben (as in Ben Kenobi.) Hearing the name she shed another tear and felt a shiver down her spine as he heard a voice again call reeeeey. She should have been creeped by it but it actually soothed her knowing who's voice that was. Rey said "I think I'll stick to calling you Obi wan for now" blurted out Rey. "It's alright I understand how hard it must be for you to hear that name", stated Mr. Kenobi. Bellan suddenly interupted and asked "I'm sorry but when are we going to talk about what's really important, the fact my master woke up screaming and crying... AGAIN!" That's when all 3 of them stared at each other as if Bellan didn't exist for a couple minutes. Finally Rey answered bellan with a sigh and stated that "once you hear this story you could never unhear it."

Hope you guys enjoyed my first chapter in my first nook, I know it's super short but trust me. The farther you get in the book the longer the chapters get. I just COMPLETED this book, it's last chapter is chapter 40. I know it seems long but trust me, the book is filled with action, adventure, mystery, and of course romance. I mean this si a reylo fancy after all.
