chapter 24: under covers

After the last hut was complete, it was practically sundown. They had all been extremely tired, especially Rey who lifted those heavy rocks for more then a couple hours, every single time. She passed out into Ben's arms, and Finn couldn't help but feel a chill go done his spine. Finn was grateful Ben was there to catch her when she fell, but a part of him still wanted to just grab Rey's saber and ignite it through him. But every time he showed one of his charming smiles, that urge grew less and less. "I'll put her to bed. Goodnight Finn" said Ben in a calm tone. Finn was struggling to reply when he realised this was the first time he had ever referred to him as Finn and not FN-2N817. He replied with a simple "goodnight, Ben". Both Finn and Ben walked back to their huts and shut the door behind them.

Poe didn't know what time it was but he knew it was late because of how tired he was. Chewie promised to wake him up if there was an issue or if they landed early. He rolled up on the small couch in the main hallway and layer down shutting his eyes.
*Beep, beep beep beep, beep, beep beep beep*
Poe grunted out of exasperation and pushed the blanket off, scrambling to his feet. "Chewie what did you do" screamed Poe. Chewie just roared at him. Poe really had to work on his wookie. Poe looked at all the levers, and knobs and buttons, and screens. He found a problem in the hyper drive, and he scrambled quickly to the back of the falcon, but he didn't know how to get to the hyper drive was. Go was fast asleep in... Ben's old room. The room no one even dared to go in, not even Han or Leia. Gio woke up startled, he wolfed out of Ben's room and towards Poe with a scared look on his face. "What's wrong, can I help? I am a pretty good technician". Poe looked over to see the newbie, "sure why not were all gonna die anyways since I don't have a replacment" Poe said looking depleted. Gio moved towards the main control panel when he realised something, the hyper drive didn't need to be replaced, just put back into place. He stuck his arm out to attempt to reach the far away piece of machinery. He snatched it and snapped it back in place fixing the ships faulty power. Poe looked at him in amazment. Chew ie roared happily, they weren't falling out of space into a sun or anything so... YAAY. "Great job Gio now what do you say we get you to your new home" concluded Poe. Gio nodded A LOT, and they were coming out of light speed towards the atmosphere. "Well Gio, welcome to Ahch-to, home of Rey Skywalker, Bellan Kenobi, and Ben Solo, your new jedi trainers" Poe said waving his hand by Ahch-to's lush, green island, and it's beautiful blue ocean. But as Poe said this, Gio couldn't help but think who's "Ben Solo"???

Ben had just finished pulling the covers over Rey in her cozy bed. He started to walk over to his small cramped ned in the corner, which was starting to make his back ache. But he stopped to admire how beautiful Rey looked. He couldn't help it, he walked over and sat on her bed gently trying not to wake her. He slowly laid down on his back and he felt so much better. It's like his back just untwisted and he felt relieved, but the closer he got to her the more curious he got as well. Their force bond was severed by death, and now it has returned, and even stronger. Some had lied when he said it was himself who merged their minds. But if he hadn't, who had? He let the pain and questions drift off of him as he cuddled up by Rey.

Finn and Asa were just about to get in bed when they saw something above them. Finn still kept his distance from Asa but he trusted her a little more after this afternoon. He looked up, it was the falcon, he would finally get to see Poe, and Bellan again. Asa was confused when he saw how happy he was. Finn ran to knock on Rey's door, but no one answered. He couldn't wait to tell her, he ran inside and yelled "Rey, Rey Poe here with Bellan. Rey?" He was now worried about her, normally whenever she heard the slightest noise shed jump out of her bed holding a light saber. He also noticed Ben wasnt in his bed either. He ran in her room, afraid of what he might find. He stopped after cracking the door, he was partially disgusted when he opened it. Rey... and Ben...no, impossible" whispered Finn and he shook the thought away as he saw Rey waking up. He shut the door quietly retrieting back to his canin, he had forgotten what he needed to tell Rey, nothing was that important.

Rey woke up hearing a whisper, but instead of jumping she slowly sat up. She squenched  her eyes from the blinding light. She didn't know who was there but when she looked over she saw another body in her bed. "AHHHHHHH" she screed as she flipped pver, and over again of the bed. Ben wasn't entirely asleep so he sat up wondering what was wrong. Rey was trying to catch her breath, and Ben just stared at her. She sarcastically said "next time you decide to make me pass out can I at least have some warning first!" Ben gave a chuckle, "my back was hurting me, I thought your bed would be more comfortable, do you mind if I stay here for the night" asked Ben hoping the answer would be yes. Rey smiled while she pulled herself up off the ground and nodded. "You can sleep here ton-... shh" . She had heard something that stopped her in mid sentence. "So is th-". "SHHHHH" Rey repeated to him. He saw her face light up and she ran outside to greet what she hoped was Poe. Ben got out of bed and followed her.

Once outside, Rey pushed Finn out of the way to get closer to the landed ship. The ramp had just fallen and she had ran up to Poe and Chewie squeezing them tightly. When she let go she saw another handsome young man at the back of the ramp. Rey held out her hand as she walked towards him. "Hello my name is Rey, and yours?" He just stared at her up and down, like he was verifying she was real or something. He lunged forward and hugged her tightly. "I can't believe it's really you, I've had dreams like these where I meet you, but I never thought it would become reality" stated the clearly excited young man. Ben stepped forward towards Finn clenching his teeth, very noticeably. Finn looked up at him, he was slightly happy. Never in a million lightyears would he think that the mighty Kylo Ren would be jealous by some other weaker force sensitive. "You alright dude, get any redder and look like those big cherries we ate yesterday" said Finn laughing. The laughing quickly stopped as he had gotten the death stare from Ben and Rey, who was still being squeezed by the new comer. Finn actually felt kind of bad for saying what he had said. Rey pushed him away from her and asked again for his name. "Oh yes of coarse Miss Skywalker, my a policies Miss. Skywalker, my name is Gio Fannosie, and who might you two be?" Ben saw this as an oppertunity, he no longer wanted Rey to be his teacher, he should be his teacher and him alone.

"Hello Gio, my name is Ben Solo, my mother was Leia Organa, and I shall be your new master, I look forward to teaching you Gio". That was a straight up lie that came out of Ben's mouth. A look of sorrow filled Gio's face, "I was told I would be taught by Rey Skuwalker, and no one else, that was the agreement, right Poe" shouted Gio. Poe nodded, afraid to say anything to Ben, just because he was good now doesn't mean his tempers ever went away. Ben snarled and walked back to his hut and climbed back into the covers. Rey showed the boys their new beds and huts. Rey decided it was best to keep Asa hidden for awhile. After they were all tucked in Rey went back to bed.
