Lost my job at the factory don't ya know,
I called the boss man a big fat so and so.
He didn't call the police I was glad about that,
But I knew I couldn't ever get that job back.
So, I said what the hell and let my anger loose,
I must admit my attitude was a bit obtuse.
I was mad cause I wasn't getting the money I was due,
I work a lot better than those city boys do.
I been workin this job for more years then I could remember,
And then these city boys come in bout last December.
Now they makin just as much as me, ain't that some shit?
So, I decided to give that boss some lip,
then turn my head and say I quit.
But he beat me to the punch and fired me quick.
It happened so fast I almost got sick.
Years of working bustin my ass,
And he just looked at me and said todays my last.
That's when I got all ignorant and let shit fly,
I even balled up my fist, I was gonna blacken his eye.
But I thought again, let my better judgement prevail,
Truth is, I wasn't ready to go back to jail.
So, I left that place, they can kiss my ass,
We don't have to put up with that shit from the past.
It's a new day, we got to demand respect,
cause we got the next generation to protect.
I'll get another job, I know I will,
For now, I'm gonna just sit back and chill.
