Astra's POV

charli and i are facetiming at the moment. it's been two days since my original dm, and we're moving faster than i thought. besides angelica, charli is my best friend.

"so you know i'm obsessed with dunkin, is there anything you're obsessed with?" charli asks and then takes a sip from her coffee.

i'd like to say you, but i refrain and go with my most unhealthy addiction. "m&ms" i say.

"i'm not joking!" i say as she laughs. i go downstairs to show her the gallon container i have of them. then i walk back upstairs to my room and she says, "wow ok. noted."

"what's your favorite color? mine is blue," i say and gesture around at my bright blue walls.

she thinks for a second and then says, "i don't want to pick just one and hurt the others feelings."

i turn into the human form of the "🥺".

"but...if you promise not to tell the others...i think i'd pick pink right now."

we both start laughing and my lips move before my brain does. "you're so cute," i say.

we both pause for what felt like a year, but was just a few seconds.

and then i say "i'm bisexual" at the same time she says "i like girls."

we stop and pause again, but then we both just start laughing and blushing.

"you're the second person to know that," i tell charli.

"well, i'm honored. only my family knows," and then she looks down. "i don't have a label. i guess i'm just confused."

"hey, that's perfectly ok. you don't even need a label. screw labels!" i say.

she smiles at me. and this time we just stare at each other, taking each other in. and it feels right.
