The inevitable

By body was she alive, healthy too.
By soul she's gone, because of words from you.

Hurt by many, never did she ask who.
When asked "Are you okay?" If she replied "I'm fine,"
I guess she lied to you.

She forced a laugh and faked a smile
She died soon in a little while.

She held on for so long,
No one truly wondered what was wrong.

One mistake was all it took,
For everyone to give her a dirty look.

No one to be by her side,
All by herself, she resorted to hide.

Punched, shoved and kicked.
No wonder she became so sick.

Scarred on her arms and in her mind,
No wonder she seemed out of sight.

The happy little girl, that used to be,
Sooner or later, that would be me.
