Serena's POV

It's been a week now. Everyone is starting to go home. Even Clemont and Bonnie went because Clemont had to look after the gym. I stayed behind. "Pancham stone edge, Braixen flamethrower and Sylveon use moon blast!" I shout. All moves collide forming, a shower of sparkles. "I see you're practising" Red smiles while holding a cup of tea. "How's Ash?" I ask; Red sighs before taking a sip. "Still the same," he says "I heard him last night; Talking to himself again. He says it's all his fault." "But it's not" I shoot back. "Sorry... But it really isn't his fault." Red smiles again before going back in.

Red's POV

"He sure is lucky to have someone like Serena," I say to myself. When reaching the top floor, I see dad going into his room. "Dad!" I shout. "Dad, are you okay?" My father looks at me. He's different from what he looked like before. Mostly because of staying awake at night; Constantly trying to get Ash to eat. However, it hasn't been going well. "Dad, you don't blame Ash for what happened, do you?" I ask nervously. Dad shakes his head in disagreement. "It's not his fault." He begins to say. " Ash needs to know that whatever happened wasn't his fault. And that Lysandre forced him to do it." I nod.

Suddenly the lock to Ash's room opens. I run to see Ash all dressed up. "Are you going somewhere?" I ask. He nods slowly. "Ash..." Serena says coming, up. "If you are going somewhere. May I come with you?" Again he only nods but, no reply comes from him in the form of words. He heads downstairs and, Serena is about to follow him when I grab her by her arm. "Serena, please try to convince him it wasn't his fault," I tell her. "You also know that too much depression isn't good for him."

Serena's POV

Coming outside, I see Ash going towards the forest. I quickly catch up walking next to him. "Hey, Ash how have you been?" I ask. No reply. "I...it's okay if you don't want to talk." A few minutes of walking we, come under a big oak tree. Looking around, I see Pokemons wandering around. When out of nowhere we hear shouting. The shouting isn't from people but Pokemon. Ash also hears this and starts to walk towards the yelling noise. Coming into sight, we see Pikachu and Greninja. Pikachu's expression is full of frustration and anger; Though Greninja looks calmer.

"Pikachu! Greninja!" I call out. Both Pokemon turn towards us. "Why are you fighting?" Both look down in guilt.

"What are you guys doing here?" Ash asks slowly. His voice seems a little shaky like he would burst into tears any minute. "Pika pi~" Pikachu starts to say but, Ash cuts him off. "Go home or train together I don't want to see you both fighting again" Ash commands pointing, the opposite direction.

After they leave we go back under the oak tree. "Ash..." I say quietly remembering what Red asked me to do. "Please don't blame yourself for what happened." Ash looks at me shocked but doesn't say anything. "It wasn't your fault. Lysandre made you do it." By now, we are both facing each other. "How...how can you say that it wasn't my fault?!" He shouts as I move back. "Oh right cause you...you haven't killed your mother with your own hands." His eyes are burning with rage; however, drops of tears have started to come out of his chocolate brown eyes. "Ash no that's-" I begin to say. "I know what you mean!" His voice sounds so harsh the kind voice isn't there any more. "I'm the one who killed her! How can you ever know the pain of losing someone so precious!" I am shocked by what he says. How does he know that I haven't lost someone dear to me; He is becoming someone different now.

"I have destroyed the happiness of my home," he says now calmly. "I killed her regardless of me controlled or not; I am her killer. I killed her." With that Ash; starts walk back home leaving me there. "Hold it right there!" I get up. "You have said what you wanted to say. But now I will tell you what you said was wrong. Especially about me!" "You think I haven't lost someone precious. I didn't kill my father. But, he was killed, right in front of me. You think I haven't felt the pain of losing someone dear to me" " No one back at home believes it was your fault! Not even your father!" He looks down at the green grass with his eyes covered with his hat.

Silence falls between us and, neither of us talk. " I'm sorry" I sigh. "I didn't mean to yell at you. But you have to understand that everyone is worried about you." He doesn't say anything. However, something starts to feel odd to me. And without a second to waste Ash collapses.

"Ash!"

I run while taking Braixen and Sylveon out. "Sylveon can you lift Ash with your ribbons and Braixen Greninja and Pikachu are close-by. Bring Greninja with you and tell Pikachu to call Red." I quickly check Ash temperature and, he's burning hot.

Few minutes of running Greninja catches up and holds Ash. We come out of the forest to see Red and his Dad running. "Ash!" His father says worriedly. "He has a high fever" I explain. "I think it's because he hasn't been eating or because of his depression." Mr Ketchum tells Greninja to follow him as the rest follow. Reaching the hospital, the doctors immediately take Ash after hearing what happened. We don't tell them everything though only that he collapsed because of his fever. After one or two hours, the doctor comes out. "How is my son doctor," Mr Ketchum asks the doctor. "You don't need to worry sir; he is just fine. Though because of the fever, he needs to rest a lot." the doctor replies. I sigh in relief as Red asks him if we could meet Ash.

The room is clean with a refreshing fragrance. It has two on both sides and, the room colour is light blue. Pikachu is asleep next to Ash while Greninja watches out the window. "Serena did you..." Red says. I nod while looking at him. "He said it didn't matter if Lysander was controlling him. He's the one who killed her." By now, everyone is staring at Ash.

Aaron's POV

I clutch my hands after hearing what Serena said. Lysandre was right to die. He ruined our lives. "He use to be so cheerful and happy. Always making everyone around him smile." Serena says sadly. "If Ash didn't have killed him, I would have." "Serena could you stay here with him," Red says. "Dad and I will go home and get something to eat." We leave shortly after saying goodbye.

Serena's POV

"He looks so peaceful" I smile. "Don't worry Ash even if you are like this. I'll always be by your side no matter what."
