▌Chapter 10 ─ What Lied On The Will ▌
━━━━━ THE BRUNETTE BLINKED coming back to reality, she looked around seeing Marta had stopped for a brief moment. She decided to catch up to her, briefly touching her hand. Iris then placed her eyes on the muddy tracks that clearly fit Marta's shoes.
"Come on." Marta breathed out quietly.
Iris nodded her head and proceeded to follow behind Marta making sure to cover up the old marks that had been left behind.
"Marta... Iris..." Benoit called out, but the two were near the fence by the time he called them. "Stop."
"What?" Marta and Iris questioned at the same time, turning to look back at the three men.
"Um..."
"What?"
"Marta, Iris, stay there."
"What?"
"No, Marta, Iris!" Iris and Marta decided to walk back towards them. "Stay there, Marta, Iris. No! No!"
"We couldn't hear. If you... Did you call us?" Marta asked Benoit.
"All right."
"Excuse me." Elliott said, moving around Benoit but still staying on the leaves. Wagner followed right behind him.
"All right."
"Come here. Wagner, we're gonna need to call the boys, have 'em come down here, take a look at all these tracks. Get it taped off. Stay on that side." Elliott said.
Marta and Iris did stay on the side that they were on. "I'm sorry." Marta said, as they walked over to Benoit. The dogs came running through the mud barking loudly, while trying to play with each other.
"Hey! Yeah!" Marta called out.
"Come here babies!" Iris said, soon kneeling down so she could pet both of them at the same time. However, Hussie was the only one to stay. Iris placed her hand on his back giving him pets. Benoit came over to the two.
"Best judge of character is a dog." Benoit told them.
"Good boy." Marta whispered.
"I've found that to be true."
Soon enough Hussie leaves running back the way he came. Iris lifted herself up looking to see her mother and father, her mother of course was ready to greet the dogs.
"Yeah, well, they've got plans to read the will at around 10:00, so, the whole family will be here soon." Elliott informed them.

Marta and Iris walked with Benoit as they walked around the house. Both Marta and Iris were close to Benoit but not too close.
"I've never been to a will reading." Marta said, trying to make small talk.
