"AHHH Y/N THANK YOU!" Suzumeda said while smiling.
"No problem, I want to help after all!" you said
"Then come, I'll introduce you to the members!" she said
"Ehh, already I-" you stopped talking when she suddenly dragged you inside the court
You are shocked when you see that all of the players are looking at both of you.
"Everyone, her name is Y/N she is a second-year and she will also be your manager from now on" Suzumeda said
"I'm Y/N, nice to meet you!" you said then you bow afterwards
Then suddenly a familiar figure entered the room
"Suzumeda do you have some spare to-" Bokuto stopped when he saw you
"Hey! Hey! Hey! Are you the new manager?" Bokuto said to you
"Yes, I'm Y/N" you said
"Hi Y/N! I'm Bokuto! I'm the Captain of the team!" he said while shaking your hand.
"Bokuto-san don't scare her" a guy said
"I'm not scaring her Akaashi!" Bokuto said while frowning
"Let's go back to practice Bokuto-san" the guy said while dragging Bokuto to the court
You go back to where Suzumeda was. You saw her at the side sitting while watching the others practice. You decided to sit beside her and watch other practice as well.
"Y/N are you sure you're okay on being a manager?" she asked
"Of course! I think they're kind and amazing as well!" you said while smiling
"Oh, by the way who is the guy who dragged Bokuto back to the court?" you asked curiously
"His name is Akaashi, he is the setter" she said
You looked to where Akaashi was and at the same time you saw him tossing the ball to Bokuto. They have awesome teamwork.
"Y/N, you used to be a setter as well right?" Suzumeda asked
"Yes" you said
You continue to watch how the team play. You are impressed by their great performance.
The practice ended. You helped Suzumeda distribute water bottles and towels to the players. You saw Akaashi next in line
"Here's your water" you said
"Thank you" he said
You watched him drink his water until the bottle is empty
"You're Y/N, right?" he asked while wiping his sweat
"Yes" you said
"I'm Akaashi sorry I didn't inroduced myself earlier" he said
"It's okay" you said while smiling
The players rest after their long practice. Then Bokuto called you
"Y/N!" he shouted
"Bokuto-san what is it?" You asked
"You used to be a setter, right?" he asked
"Yes" you said
"You see, Akaashi is a bit tired now so can you help me practice by tossing some balls?" he asked while smiling
"Sure!" you said
You entered the court and start getting some balls to toss. You toss the first ball and Bokuto managed to spike it properly. You do the same thing all over again.
"Woah Y/N! Your toss is really accurate! How do you do that!?" Bokuto asked. Akaashi was shocked when he saw that your toss is really accurate and straight to the point.
"Eh, I'm not that good though" you said while smiling shyly
"Do it again Y/N!" Bokuto said
You tossed the ball in different directions and Bokuto doesn't fail to spike it.
After many tosses, you and Bokuto got tired, you breathe heavily and decided to get some towels to wipe your sweat.
"Sorry for making you toss many balls for me Y/N" Bokuto said while frowning
"It's not your fault, Akaashi-san is tired anyway so I came to help" you said while smiling. Bokuto smiles back at you
After resting, you saw Akaashi walking towards you
"Y/N can I ask you something?" he asked
"Sure, what is it?" you asked
"How did you learn to do accurate tosses like that?" he asks
"My old coach taught me that, he says that I should toss the ball as accurate as possible so that the spiker can manage to hit it easier" you said. You noticed that Akaashi is looking directly at you staring seriously.
You felt that your cheeks are getting red because he is close at your face. When you look at his face, you looked at his gunmetal blue eyes and his emotionless face.
"Akaashi!" Bokuto called out to the setter
Akaashi looked at Bokuto and looks back to you again
"Excuse me" he said before going to Bokuto.
You decided to pack up and go home. You said goodbye to everyone before you leave.
When you got home, you noticed that your sister is at the couch watching anime
"Aiya-san I'm home!" you said
"Why are you home late hm?" she asked while she glares at you
"I helped out in the volleyball team, I'm their new manager" you said
"Woah you're a manager of a volleyball team!" she said while her mouth is hanging open
"I'm going to take a bath" you said while going to your room to get some clothes
You decided to take a shower. After you take a shower you go to your room and lay on your bed. You can't stop thinking of this thing that is bothering you for a while.
"Those eyes are so, familiar"
