Neighbors

Friday - 6 am

You woke up from your very short sleep. You yawn and stretched your arms in the air. You felt sleepy as you walk to go to the bathroom. You brush your teeth and combed your hair.

As you walk down the stairs, your eyes felt sloppy. You saw your sister eating pancakes.

"Y/N Good morning! I cooked pancakes!" she said while smiling happily

You left a small smile before going to the fridge to get some pancake syrup and milk. Your sister noticed that you're still sleepy.

"Did you stay up all night yesterday?" she asked

"Uh, not that much" you said

"YOU WATCHED ANIME AGAIN!?" she yelled while punching my left arm

"Ow! I only watched a few episodes" you lied while smirking

"You're lying" she said while laughing

You yawned and took a bite from the fluffy pancake your sister made and drink milk afterwards.

After you finished your breakfast, you prepared to go to school, you left your house not as early as usual. You got out of your house and said goodbye to your sister.

As you go out of your house. You saw a guy walking away from their house that is just beside yours. You looked at his uniform and noticed that it's the same as the uniform from Fukurodani

As the guy walked away, you saw his face

You never knew about your neighbors because you're just staying in the house when it's weekends. You don't know anyone in your neighborhood.

"AKAASHI!?" you yelled, making the teenager to look at you.

Akaashi looked at you shocked and walks straight to you"

"Y/N-san what are you doing here!?" he asked

"I-I live next door" you said while looking at the other direction

"I didn't notice that you lived here" he said looking at you

"Uh, eh, same" you said shyly

"Wanna go to school together?" he asked. You looked at him all confused towards his action.

You felt your face burning. Your sloppy eyes opened widely.

"Eh? Sure" you said while smiling. He smiles back at you and giggle a bit.

You walked together to the bus station. Things get a little bit akward.

"Today's the practice match, right?" you asked

"Mhm" he said while nodding placing his hands on his pocket

Things get a little bit awkward. You distance away a little bit from him because you taught that he's uncomfortable with you. You didn't notice there's a car behind you.

Akaashi grabbed your hand pulling you towards him. You closed your eyes, scared from the impact, but you felt warm and cozy.

You opened your eyes and found yourself resting on Akaashi's chest while he's holding your hand. You looked at Akaashi who's looking at the street. You felt your heart racing.

Akaashi looked at you with a worried face.

"Y/N are you okay?" he asked

"Uhm, yes" you said while you let go of his hand, pulling away from his arms.

"Why did you distance yourself from me earlier?" he said

Wait, he noticed that?

"S-So-Sorry" you said while looking down

He holds your hands while looking at you straight to the eye, shocked by his actions you looked at him in the eyes

"I- uhm, I don't want you to distance yourself from me" he said in a very soft voice

You were shocked from his actions. You started to blush.

He held your hands tighter, "I want to be close to you Y/N, I want to know everything about you" he said in a very thin, soft voice

You felt your cheeks getting hotter every second. You looked up to him, noticing the reddish tint from his cheeks. You can't help but smile at him. His eyes widened, then he looks at the other direction to avoid eye contact.

You noticed that your bus is there. You both entered the bus and sat next to each other. You felt your eyes starting to feel sloppy. You yawned and Akaashi looked at you

"Did you sleep well last night?" he asked

"Not that much" you said

"Did you stay up late?" he asked

"Yes, I watched anime until 3 am" you said while giggling, he looked at you and giggled as well.

As you both arrived at school, you both get out of the bus and go to your respective classes.

You entered your room and go to your seat. You lay your head down trying to sleep, but you noticed that in 15 minutes, your class will start. You just decided to read manga.

The classes started. Noticing that you're a bit sleepy than usual. You tried your best to stay awake and continue to listen to the lessons.

You looked at the window looking at the sky. The ray of sunshine shining in the small room making things glimmer. The breeze touching your skin, you feeling its warmth.

As the lectures continue. You get your notebook and decide to take some notes to entertain yourself. You get your ballpen and markers from your bag while copying the things written in the board.

Break time came. You decided to go to Haruka's classroom to see if she attended school. You knocked and open the door noticing Haruka at the front.

"Harukaaaa" you whined leaning to give her a hug

"Y/N!" she hugged you back

"Why are you not here yesterday? I miss you so much" you said

"Sorry, I felt ill yesterday" she said while pouting

"Let's go eat, I'm hungryyy" you said dragging her away from the room.

You dragged your feet while walking to the cafeteria, you felt tired and sleepier while walking.

When you both got to the cafeteria, you hurriedly bought a sandwich and eat.

"Aren't you lonely when I'm not here?" Haruka asked

"Well, I have some company" you said while eating your sandwich

"Really? Who is it?" she asked while smirking

"Akaashi, you know the setter from the volleyball team" you said

"You mean that hot setter!? You just got in the team yet you got yourself a boyfriend" she said while punching your arm.

"Ow, he's not my boyfriend!" you said while looking away from your friend

Your friend laughed and continue to eat her food.

Before you got back to the classroom, you waved goodbye to your friend before going to the vending machine to get yourself some milk before heading back
