The Writing Process: Inspiration

Sometimes I will get inspiration,

Have my AHA! moment.

I will start writing away my idea

But then something will block my path

As I fly down the straight road to success

And when I go to drive around it with ease

I find I have run out of gas

Or have taken a wrong turn

My excitement over this idea

Has slowly, sneakily

Drifted out of my loose grasp

And has escaped my clutches

Now I have to go find it again

Starting a new adventure through these twisting roads

To find my next revelation in this never-ending story
