As I stand infront of the mirror, every night and every day,
Whispers in my head tell me what to do and what to say.

"You're a girl" they hissed, "You're just a weak breed",
Yet words speak louder than actions, therefore my calling must I heed.

Who will speak for those who feel
Like losers in the game?
See the scars down their soft frail wrists
And blue bruises on their aim.

Who will stop a man from imminent death,
For being different in skin and tone?
Who's responsibility is to comfort a woman,
Left aside with her innocence worn.

How could a person feel the loss of a loved one,
When they had always pulled the trigger?
Tell me all the ways to shatter the hopes
Of a maiden, waiting for her dead soldier's figure.

You have no valid answer it seems,
For you live in this world ever so blindly,
But now's the time I raise up my voice
Keeping all the trauma behind me.

I speak on behalf of those who suffer
From pain, imbalance and poverty,
My voice will be heard and will echo all throughout
To the people who took it all lightly.

My voice will roar for my rights as a woman
To prove we are not fickle creatures,
My future, my world will be built from the ashes
Of those who lost, though their voice never ceases.

Who's to blame for the past and the present
When the future cannot be foretold?
But my voice is a weapon and shall be the inception
Of a bright and succeeding world to behold.
