I've waited many moons
To see your face, my dear.
I've wandered lonely on the shores,
With badly hidden tears.

I miss the days where I could hold
You safely in my arms.
And promise you that no matter what,
You will not come to any harm.

I miss the way the moonlight bounced
back off your long, brown hair,
The splashes of the ocean waves
As you walked without a care.

Now all that's left is hurt,
As I stare at the rocky cliffs.
All I feel is hurt,
Without your comforting whiff.

All I see is hurt,
When I can't look at your eyes.
All I hear is hurt,
Unable to hear your sighs.

I've waited many moons for you
And many more shall I wait.
The moon shall keep me company
Till the hurt dissipates.
