Different Path (Kakashi AU)

Chapter 4

I twirl the special kunai that Minato-Sensei gifted me.

Rin handed me a specialized first aid kit.

I looked at Obito and he gave me the cheesiest smile with his hands behind his back.

"Close your eyes~"

"I don't trust you"

"Bakashi!"

Rin giggles.

"...fine"

I reluctantly shut my eyes.

I feel something on my eyes.

"BWHAHAHAHA"

Minato-Sensei and Obito burst out laughing.

Rin has her hand clamped over her mouth as an attempt to muffle he laugh.

I pull out a kunai and look at my reflection.

"I look like a goofball. Like Obito"

I stuff the googles into my ninja pouch along with my other gifts.

"Uwah! I'm not a goofball Bakashi!"

"Those who abandon their mission are scum, but those who abandon their friends are worse than scum"

My eyes widen as Obito leaves me.

How does he know about my father...

I can't leave Obito by himself. He isn't that strong to protect himself as if he could protect Rin on top of that as well.

I stab the ninja who lunged at Obito.

"K-Kakashi!"

Obito stutters with tears forming in his eyes.

"I can't leave you alone crybaby"

He lifts up his goggles and wipes his eyes.

Another ninja jumps near us. I block his kunai and he smirks.

The next thing I know, he is invisible.

I jump back and take a defensive stance.

"ARGH!"

I hold my eye in pain. Blood streaming steadily from it.

"KAKASHI!"

Obito is next to me.

He is crying again.

"A ninja doesn't show emotion, crybaby"

Obito mumbles something and then the next thing I know he is stabbing the invisible ninja.

"T-Those...eyes............monster"
