05 - By your side

I awoke to soft sheets, and the morning light trickled in through the blinds. Shedding myself of the remaining glimpses of a dream, my eyes were still shut as I soaked in the warmth of a peacefully sleeping Hoseok before letting my brown eyes see the sun's rays.

I manage to drag my feet off the bed silently in an attempt to not disturb the peacefully sleeping Hosoek.. I then get a quick shower and head downstairs to prepare breakfast

An hour after Hosoek woke up, his eyes still looking red, his hair messy yet perfect, but how can he look flawless even when he just woke up.. his sleepy form slowly made his way near me, his warm hand encircled their way towards my waist, his head laid down to the crook of my neck

"Did you sleep well? I made your favorite pancakes" I asked "hmm" he replied in his husky morning voice.. it drives me crazy, I swear!

After we finished our breakfast Hoseok left to visit someone... again

I had the day all by myself so I thought I'd visit Jiminie oppa and pay respects to my Jieun... I quickly dialed his number "Oppa, can I come over? Do you have any plans today?" "Aniyo, you can come over whenever you want"

I got dressed in a simple jeans and pullover, quickly grabbed my car keys, phone and headed out to the car

I knock on the door to be welcomed by Jimin oppa with a sweet heartwarming smile filling his face, my eyes scan around the house.. it was very minimalistic, the house felt calm

My eyes stop at the pictures of Jieun and Jiminie oppa hung on the wall

My Jieun looked like an angel, so pretty.. Her sweet smile, pure soul, she was so innocent.. She didn't deserve this kind of a fate, it makes me wonder why god is so merciless to the good and purest people

"Yah! I asked you something, what are you thinking about?" my mind diverts to reality at the sound of Jimin oppa, "Oh? It's nothing, what did you ask oppa?"

"Your face tells me otherwise, anyways would you wanna go visit Jieun?" I bitterly nod "Okay, Give me a minute I'll change and come quickly" "Hmm" I sat on the couch waiting for him to come, by then I call Hoseok to check up on him

"Yeah Sohee?" he quickly answers my call "Hobi-ah, I came to Jimin oppa's for a while, will you be back soon?" "Gwenchana, you take your time, I'll wait" "Okay then, bye, love you" he hung up the call

Sometimes I wonder if his feelings for me had changed, I shouldn't even think about such things but something just doesn't sit right, I shake my head in an attempt to make these thoughts go away

"Sohee, let's go" Jimin oppa said as he walks down the stairs, he wore a simple black pants and a white shirt, we get on my car and Jimin oppa hops in the driver seat

I stare at the peaceful scenario through the window while being drowned in my thoughts...

We soon arrive, I see Jieun's pictures with candles lit, Around it are the sticky notes Jiminie oppa wrote to her, he said he'd visit this place often as he had no else to share his sorrows and happiness.. I felt guilty, I couldn't help my only friend, I was selfish..

It hurts my heart to think what he might have gone through, My precious oppa and Jieunie.. I still remember my childhood days.. they both were the only friends I had as I was homeschooled

They both were always happy, cheerful and kind, It is sad how their fates turned out to be, I couldn't do anything for Jieun but at least I can be there for Jiminie oppa, I can't lose him too, I know how it feels to lose someone so dear, Just like how Hoseok and appa were there for me I'll also be there for Jimin oppa, this is all I can do for Jieun, I hope she forgives me

I find myself automatically wrapping my arms around the person next to me, I bury my head in his chest and slowly let my tears hit my cheeks, he brings him arms to hold me back, I could feel his tears falling down on my arms

We sat there sobbing.. letting all our sorrows and guilt out.. "O-oppa, I promise I'll b-be there for you whe-whenever you need me, I don't wanna lose you also" "Sohee-ah, I'm glad I got to meet you, Jieun would've wanted this.. She always wanted us all to be together"
