09 - Fight over rights

I had to wake up early today as It was our first day at office, hopefully I wasn't late

We were greeted by the employees, It made me feel less nervous, We were taken to our office room, Hoseok briefed me about the schedules and the first task today is the meeting with the employees

I had prepared a speech with help of Hoseok, I must admit, if wasn't for him I don't know if any of these would happen or not "Baby, Are you ready? Can we go?" he asked while seating himself beside me "Yeah, I'm just a bit nervous" I smile sheepishly 

"Don't worry, I can tell they already like you" he held my hands tightly to assure me, his angel like smile makes me feel more confident, make all my nervousness to vanish..

"Now come on, let's go" I nod and follow him to the auditorium, we seated ourselves on the chairs placed on the podium, I held his hands the whole time because being with him made me less nervous

Soon welcome speech was over and it was my turn to deliver the speech, "Sohee baby, fighting" he whispered as I got up to face the audience, His words gave me confidence which I desperately need right now

I successfully end my speech and bow to everyone present, fortunately I didn't make a fool of myself I managed to remain confident till the end, finally that the program came to an end and Hoseok and I went back to our room

We didn't have much work since it was the first day Hosoek was resting on the couch and my eyes were fixed on the view outside while my mind was trying to process throught the thing that had happened recently and what wicked path my aunt would choose next to get rid of me

My train of thoughts were interrupted as I sensed a pair of arms wrapped around me from behind while his warm body was pressed against my back, the warmth travelled travelled through my body, "You did well, Your parents must be feeling proud" he spoke breaking the silence in the atmosphere surrounding us "I'm sure you will do your job perfectly" he said while lowering his head to the crook of my neck, I nodded slowly while placing my hands on his

I gently removed his hands from my body as to move around, my eyes fixed on his his, his returned to the same position but was facing my back while he stood infront of me, I glanced at the man, I'm really grateful for all the things he had done for me 

"Hobi-ah" I managed speak out "Thank you for being with me, for supporting me, helping me and most importantly for loving me, If it wasn't for you I can't even imagine if all these would've happened or not, I might've remained as the weak Sohee I used to be, I depend on you for almost everything, you chose to stay with me when I was weak and blind,  while you could've left to lead a happy life for yourself, you literally built me again, I'm really thankful for everything you've done for me, I'm really lucky to have you as my boyfriend and I-I don't-t ever wanna lose-e you" I let out all that has been in mind, I could sense the tears brimming in my eyes..

He pulled me closer while attaching his lips to mine, It was passionate yet light, "Sohee-ah, I would choose the same thing over if I got another chance because I love you and I would do anything to protect you while I can, Just know that my love for you is true"

But our little moment was interrupted when I fell to the ground with Hoseok over me, covering me with his body, gunshots were heard breaking through the glass window, he suddenly pulled me under the table, I felt my body freeze, becoming weak, Hoseok managed to call the bodyguards and soon everything went silent, Hoseok tried to crawl out to see where the gunshots were coming from but I held him tight because I totally don't wanna risk his life

After a few minutes, the firing had stopped and the bodyguards came to get us of the room, "Are you okay?" I asked him "hmm" still holding me close to him, I could feel his heart beating fast, the scared look in his eyes were clearly visible but that because of the concern for his own life but for mine "Yah! Why were you trying to move out from the safe spot? Why did you try to protect only me? What do you think you were doing? What if you got shot?"  I scold him,  "I'm... sorry" he lowered his gaze and muttered

*EVENING*

The police had come by and promised find out the person behind the incident, I'm pretty sure it's my aunt's doing, she must've wanted to get rid of me forever but I don't have any proof to report her crimes, After the investigation was over Hoseok and I returned home

I headed straight to my room to get a shower and relax my mind and he was preparing dinner for us, I heard my phone ringing as I came out of the bathroom

"Hello?" I replied to the unknown call "THIS . JUST . THE . BEGINNING" a hoarse voice said "Who is this? What do you mean by that?" I asked in panic "If you don't wish to see the end, you and your smartass boyfriend should quit"
