Tanaka propped Yamaguchi's chair back upright. "Next time he'll remember that when he even thinks about screaming."

The door to the storage room slid open and Shimizu stood there with bandages in her hand.

"Don't worry, I texted her last night to bring bandages when she came so that she could patch up Yamaguchi." Daichi said.

"I didn't know this is what's going on but I'll take care of him." She said.

"You're seriously not going to ask any questions?" Tanaka asked.

"No. It's pretty clear what's going on. All I'm going to ask is can you let me bandage you up first?" Kiyoko-san asked.

Tanaka finally looked down at his hand and realized how bad it was messed up. The adrenaline rush from taking care of Yamaguchi must've numbed the pain. She rubbed off the blood on his hands, disinfected the wound, then wrapped it up. As she finished up, Yamaguchi came to his senses. His eyes widen, and as he was about to attempt to grab Kiyoko's attention, he saw Tanaka behind her, watching him closely, waiting for him to make the littlest peep.

Yamaguchi relaxed a little, and went quiet. "Good boy." Tsukishima teased.

"Okay Yamaguchi, I'm going to bandage the wounds on your head so don't freak out okay?" She assured him. A whimper came out of his mouth and Tanaka rolled up his sleeves, ready. "Wait, not this time. I had to disinfect the wound so he was going to make some type of sound."

"This one time." Tanaka said as he sat back down.

[Yamaguchi POV]
After waking up from Tanaka's temper tantrum, my face and head hurt like a bitch. Kiyoko was there. Why the fuck was she there and not doing anything to help me? I'm a first year and I don't even really know these people. I thought I could trust Tsukki but clearly (y/n) comes first.

I saw tanaka's face, and immediately remembered the pain from his punches. I never would've thought I'd get ptsd from one of my teammates.

Kiyoko started bandaging my head. I couldn't help but scream at the pain. It felt worse than anything I've ever felt. Tanaka started coming towards me when he heard me and I froze immediately. I can't take another hit from him to the face, no matter what, but Kiyoko stopped him. It was almost as if she was the light in the darkness. She had this angelic glow coming from her. As long as she was here I would be fine.

"Take the tape off of his mouth." Tanaka told Kiyoko.

"And why would we do that?" Asahi asked.

"You'll see. Take it off of him." Tanka continued.

Kiyoko took the tape off my mouth. My first instinct was to say something, to cuss them out, to ask why they would do this to me, to ask what was wrong with them. Why go to such lengths for someone they barely knew?

But nothing came out of my mouth, not a sound. I stood there dumbfounded, but I'm glad nothing ended up coming out of my mouth. Who knows what would've happened to me if I did. I looked at Kiyoko and cried. All of this happened thanks to her. Slowly I was feeling better about everything. I wasn't being hurt anymore, my head was being bandaged, and my mouth didn't have to be taped anymore. These were tears of joy. Pure bliss.

"Coach will be coming soon. Let's go." Daichi said. Everyone exited the room except for Kiyoko-san. She sat in the floor in front of me and hugged her legs. I looked down and couldn't help but feel even better now that she was the only one around.

"You know," she started. I focused my attention on her words. "they're not just doing all of this for (y/n). They're doing this for you too. It may not seem like it, but really, they just didn't want to let you go, especially Tsukki. He hated to see you run away, though, the way he chose to stop you was a little harsh right." She smiled and it made me chuckle. Luckily, Kiyoko wasn't going to punish if I made a sound.

She continued "they don't want to keep you here forever. They hate hate having to hurt you. I don't want to see you get hurt anymore either. They took the tape off of your mouth because they trust you. Don't betray their trust for you so, can you please be quiet in here while we practice?"

I nodded my head. She was right, right? Why would she lie to me now of all times. This whole time I had it backwards. They don't hate me. They're doing this because they care.

"Thanks for understanding." She smiled. "Well I'll get going now. We'll check up on you after practice to bring you something to drink."

She stood up and left the room, waving as she closed the door. I could hear them in the gym, setting up the net and getting the cart full of balls. Coach Ukai came in, and everything was normal. The sounds of the gym put me at ease, and I dozed off to sleep, this time on my own instead of being knocked unconscious.

As Kiyoko promised, after practice, she brung me a drink from the vending machine and held it up while I drank from it since my hands were still tied behind the chair.

"The others will be back tonight, but they won't be spending the night again. If they did, their parents might get worried. At the moment, you're still supposed to be spending the night at Tsukishima's house, but we can't keep that excuse for long. I think I can get you out of here by tomorrow as long as you don't do anything stupid okay?" She told me.

I nodded my head again. As I thought. Kiyoko-san was my ticket out of all of this. I'll do anything she says as long as I can leave by tomorrow.

Anything.
