Space Invader

It was the end of another horrible day in Rotten Woods, and all the Louds were in the bathroom preparing for bed, each with their own odd routines.

Leni was brushing her wraps, Lola and Lana were in the tub brushing their teeth, Luna was sharpening her horns, Luan was giving herself a tongue bath, and Lucy and Lynn were fighting over the toothpaste like they do every night.

Then floating through the door was Lincoln who was looking at the sight.

"Space...the final frontier. As you might imagine, with ten sisters, space is limited." He narrated to the readers. "Everywhere you go, you gotta deal with the crowds. But being the only boy in the family comes with a perk." He was then floating over to his small room. "You hear that? Me neither. While my sisters all have to share bedrooms, I get my own. Sure it's just a converted linen closet, but it's my own space. My own little oasis in the sands of the Loud House. And I wouldn't give it up for the world."

Just then he heard Lucy and Lynn arguing.

"You're always Miss Gloom and Doom! Like, would it kill you to smile once in a while?!"

"I live forever, nothing would kill me. But I hate smiling."

Lincoln then flew to where all her sisters were, watching the whole fight.

"What's going on?" The ghost asked.

"Lucy and Lynn are going at it. Again." Lori droned.

"I'd make a joke about fighting, but I can't think of a good punchline." Luan laughed at her joke.

"I can't bear to watch!" Leni said before putting her wraps on her eyes. "That's better."

A jockstrap comes flying out of the room and the others duck in time to avoid it.

"I'd hate to get in the middle of this one." Lori said.

"I totally agree." With that, Lincoln went back to his room while talking to the readers. "Vampires and werewolves have been enemies for centuries, so it's no surprise that they argue every night. But one of the perks of having my own room, I don't have to get involved in anything."

Just then, he heard a knock at the door and Lincoln opened it to see Lynn holding a pillow.

"Hey, Lynn. What's up?"

"There's no way I'm staying in the same room with the Duchess of Darkness. Can I bunk in your bedroom tonight?"

"Oh, uh... Here's the thing.." The ghost rubbed his neck. "This isn't exactly a room per se...

"It's cool. I can sleep wherever." Lynn said.

"Look, this is my room. And there's only room for one."

"Fine." The werewolf sighed. "I guess I'll just go sleep in the bathtub."

"That's a great idea! Problem solved. Goodnight." Right before he closes the door, Lynn makes a sad puppy dog eyed face.

"Oh! Not the puppy dog eyes! No one can resist them!" Lincoln tried to look away but no monster can resist the sad puppy dog eyes.

"All right, you can stay. But just for one night." Lincoln opens the door and Lynn runs in on all fours.

"Thanks, Lincoln!" She tries to go in for a hug but goes right through him. "Oh yeah, forgot you're a ghost." Lynn laughed. "I'll make myself comfortable."

She drags her pillows and blanket inside.

"It's just for one night. What's the worst that could happen?" He thought to himself.
