SONG: IF YOU CAN'T HANG BY SLEEEPING WITH SIRENS

VIC'S POV

The end of tour celebration is always a massive piss up:

Everyone gets incredibly drunk and everyone celebrates the end of something incredible. Tours are always very special to me and the guys: meeting fans; visiting other places; performing; getting pissed in all corners of the earth - it's amazing! This tour, we'd had I Prevail supporting us and Lindsey for female company to sing her part in 'Hold On Till May'. With Lindsey and Elle getting along so well, it couldn't have been more exciting. I'd worried that they may not get along but they're such good friends now.

The tour had had its ups and downs. For one, Jaime had to go to hospital as he thought he had broken his collar bone while pissed in Amsterdam - it turns out he'd just bruised it. There was also the second time Jaime had to go to the emergency room. That time as he had cut his finger open while messing around in Melbourne and it needed stitches. There was also the ups. Me and Elle went on The London Eye together and adopted a penguin at London Zoo. I also assured she had the best birthday ever by taking us all to Disneyland in Tokyo for the weekend whilst in Japan.

Even the shows themselves were amazing. I snapped a total of 57 strings during the shows and I managed to break only 1 bone - my toe on my left foot. I decided dropping a guitar on it was not the most fun in the world and I was limping around until I got used to the pain. My favourite part was in San Francisco where fans, ironically dressed in bloodied make up to match the line "She was covered in blood last seen in San Francisco". Besistos wasn't even on the set list but we played it anyway, in honour of their bloodied efforts.

So the night that marks the end of it all, we get drunk. We just allow ourselves to drop the cares of being a band and just be friends for a night. This one was incredibly special to me, as it was the first time Elle had come with us, but god damn it ruined everything.

That evening was where it all went wrong. We decided to let some of our fans join the after party as part of a rock sound competition. We, as a band, wanted to give a unique opportunity to our fans. They had to be 18 of course but it seemed like the best idea we'd had. Intimate times with fans at an after show party seemed something special. We even were willing to fly 10 fans to join us!

The evening started so well. We had hired out a large club so everyone could come. All the lighting crew, the guitar technicians, the set movers and runners, plus our friends and family came. We started off the evening by having drinks. Jaime had his usual wine-spritzer to get the night started off, whilst we all stuck to the beer. It wasn't time to have the whisky by then.

Late into the party, I stepped outside to get some fresh air. It was nice to have concluded our tour back in Cali this time. Fresh air; home air. The door swung back open to reveal a young girl with short blonde hair and a pair of gigantic heels on. She was intoxicated, but I turned away thinking nothing of it. That was until she grabbed me and pushed me against the wall.

"Woah get off me! Jesus you bitch!" But the girl proceeded to pin me to the wall. I avoided touching her as her privacy was important, but then she placed her lips against mine. I tried to pull away, I honestly did, but my strength had been consumed by the alcohol and any effort I had, she had more. She was one of the fans we had flown in. I recognised her from a photo we had taken earlier in the night,

The door swung open again. It was Elle. Elle came to an abrupt stop and stumbled into us and - oh god it all happened so fast. The next thing I knew, I'd found the strength in my alcohol flooded muscles, pushed the girl out of the way and I stumbled away from the wall.

Elle's eyes widened and she dissolved into tears. I grabbed her arm. "Elle" I said

"NO" she screamed and pulled away from me.

"Elle, please I can explain!" I pleaded, my heart pounding and my throat growing a lump. She couldn't leave, not after a silly mistake. We had been through so much!

"No, Vic, no you can't!" She took off her heels and ran as well as she safely could, off into the club and out of my life.
