A/N: Procrastination feels bad 😭😭. Anyways! I need to know, what time upload is best for you guys? In EST timezone if you please!
Sapnap's POV:
I always knew there was a mild, pyromanic tendency within me. It was something I realized since I was young. In fact, I had many vivid memories of just watching the flickering embers of a little burner stove while my mother cooked. I couldn't help it.
Fire was beautiful. Fire made me exhilarated. Like nothing mattered. Fire made me feel powerful.
And now... with a match in my possession, and pent-up frustration in my heart... I could let it run wild. Let the flaring coils of hot light, engulf the camp into smoke and ashes. Ignite it ALL into flames.
"Dream. How much longer..." I snarled impatiently. In one hand, I held a box of matches, in the other, a sturdy piece of firewood. Flammable. Once Dream gave the cue, I could let my excitement run free.
"Be patient, Sapnap. We're not killing anyone. Just burning the camp down. Wait for the bandits to leave..." he murmured, peaking out from behind a tree.
I huffed, annoyed at the sight of a not-lit-up camp.
"Why can't we kill them?? They kidnapped us! You could've been with Techno right now, you know? You could've been married already! If anything, we should kill them person-"
"Sapnap. No killing. I don't want Techno being remembered in court as that cutie with the murderer husband," he deadpanned, a little annoyed. "I can't keep thinking for myself anymore. I gotta think about his reputation too."
I tsked at that, before rolling my eyes. "Boring... you know, Tommy told me that once you get married, you change. But whatever you say, Simpnation." I smirked at the last part, laughing as he punched my arm.
"You're just jealous Techno and I made out and you can't even hug George without being socked in the face." He retorted, sending a snappy, cocky look.
I gave him a scrunched, offended expression, about to shove him in response, when suddenly, the neighing of horses interrupted.
Alarmed, I peeked over his shoulder. The bandits were ready to leave camp, ready to ride onto their horses and wagons. They had an expression of bliss and unawareness.
"Dream." I muttered, shooting a knowing look. He turned back briefly, glancing to the crowd. A nod. Soon.
I pulled out the little match, lighting it against the firewood. It immediately caught aflame, with swirling oranges and yellows, dancing elegantly. A sharp wave of adrenaline shot through my veins at the sight of the flicker. Heat was caressing the expanse of my hand. It was... nice.
I should wait. Dream wants me too... but..." An image of George manifested in my mind. With his awkward, lopsided smile, loud, whiney complaints. I missed him a lot. And Dream, Dream should've been married today. He should've been at an alter, with Techno by his side. This should be the happiest day of his life. But these guys... these guys ruined it.
"Dream. I don't think it's fair," I found myself speaking, flashing a blank look, "I don't think it's fair that they get to live."
My sudden words seemed to startle Dream, as he spun around with a raised brow.
"What do you mean?" There was a confused tone in his voice.
Well...
"I care about you. You and George." A smile crossed my lips. "Even if you guys are always moving ahead of me. Leaving me, I really care. And that's why..."
