Normani liked the idea of having her man back in her life. She still wanted to slap the taste out of his mouth for what he did but she was glad that he was back.

Zay had been up to his old tricks again. He's still sending flowers to the apartment. He arranged for her to have a spa day, he arranged for a private chef to come make breakfast for her, and even dropped a few stacks on her to go shopping with. Normani was totally prepared about her date with him.

Zay was the one losing his shit. He was unsure of what to wear, he felt like his haircut looked terrible, and his nerves were completely shot.

"Alright Xavier, pull yo shit together. You usually don't sweat over women and we not about to start now." Zay said to his reflection.

Zay finished brushing his teeth then stepped into his closet to get dressed. It was an all black type of night. Black pants, black blazer, black loafers, and a black button down. Zay put on all his accessories then gave himself one finally look on the mirror.

"Not bad Mr. Harper. Not bad at all."

Zay went into his safe and got out his favorite gun. He put it in the waistband of his pants then headed out the door.

Meanwhile back at Normani's place Zaya was finishing Normani's hair. The boys were sitting in the living room watching Sportscenter. Normani began drumming on her knee as Zaya ran the straightener down her hair.

"So how are you feeling about your date with my daddy?" Zaya asked.

"I feel good, a little nervous but I'm looking forward to it." Normani said.

"I like you guys together." Zaya said.

"Oh now you like us together?" Normani asked.

"Watch it mama I'm the one with the heat in my hands." Zaya said.

"I was just messing with you babygirl." Normani said.

Zaya smiled and finished putting the finishing touches on Normani's hair. Normani stepped into the closet so she could put on her little black dress. "Jus still hasn't hit you up yet?" She asked.

"Nope." Normani said.

"That sucks." Zaya said.

"It does but I had a feeling this would happen eventually." Normani said.

Zaya sighed, "Hopefully she comes back around."

Normani shrugged and put on her favorite Diamond earrings. After all diamonds are a girls best friend. Zaya and Normani chopped it up some more then Zay showed up.

"Who is it?" Zayn asked.

"It's your father, boy." Zay said.

"It's open." Zion said.

Zay walked into the apartment and into the living room where the boys were. He unbuttoned his blazer then sat in the recliner. His sons got up and stood on both sides of him.

"So where you take my mama, old man?" Zion asked.

"I got your old man. I'm taking her to one of our favorite restaurants." Zay said.

"Will you be paying for this evening?" Zay asked.

"Yes I will." Zay said.

"Good. Now let me break it down for you real quick, dad. My mama isn't your average woman she's special. Don't you try any slick shit with her." Zion said.

"Or else we might get rowdy." Zayn said.

Zay tried to take his sons seriously but he couldn't. But he did appreciate how protective they were over Normani. They were also protective over Zaya and Justine too. I'm proud of my sons for understanding that they must protect black women at all costs.
