Chapter 8

Wang Yibo's POV

Wang Yibo was already in a white robe patiently waiting for his soulmate.
The look on his face was usual cold expressionless but his mind was in chaos.
To marry an unknown is terrifying but to marry an unknown man is petrified. 
Well, He was never interested in any soul before. Now accepting a man as his soulmate for a lifetime, the only thought is troubling.
But can he do something about this... No...

When he first saw Xiao Zhan in the hall he must admit that the man was beautiful.
It is not that he has not seen beautiful people, but the beauty of this person was something different which he never found in anyone before Or was it just his thinking.
His thoughts interrupted with the sound of footsteps.
He looked up to see the man wearing white clothes.
White was always his favorite it has peaceful and calming effects for one's eyes but now he couldn't help but admit that the man looked more eternal, As if an angel descended from the sky.

He couldn't blink his eyes. His senses returned when Xiao Zhan came in front of him and stood up. The elder asked him to open his Palm. He opened his fist in which there were jade stones.
I gasped inwardly looking at his Palm, there were 5 white jade stones.

It is nearly impossible to have 5 jade stones here. Only 4 family members were able to
Find them and I was one of them including his brother Wang Haikuan. But not even once any other person could find 5 white jade stones if he is not Wang. 
No wonder the Jiyang family selected him.
My father and Queen were shocked too.
By the look my mother was giving Xiao Zhan till the first time she saw him inside the hall I can see that she doesn't like him By the way, I do not mind this thing either. She doesn't like me so it's natural.
But soon I need to warn Xiao Zhan about her, She is a Sweet knife who can use you and kill you slowly.

The chief Priest told me to tie one end of my forehead to his right hand and another end to my left hand.
I did what he told but in between when my fingers touched his wrist I felt a wave of current flowed through my hands to my body. What was that???
I looked up, he was shocked too. Did he felt that??
His hands were cold but at the same, I felt some warmth spreading through my body. I felt calm and reassured. His hands were smaller & softer than mine.
I don't why but it felt good to hold his hands.
Then Chief Priest told him to hold the jade stone in the right hand and then he told me to hold his fist. We did the same.
" You can wish anything to god and goddess of this place. They will fulfill your every good wish. You need to tell your wish a loud with a pure heart" He told Xiao Zhan.

It is said that this holy place can fulfill every wish of the person who can find 5 white jade stones.
My elder Brother wished for happiness & peace for his family and country.
I didn't know what to wish so I simply wished God to show me the right path and keep His grace on me.

He closed his eyes, I was patiently waiting and next moment what he said makes me Surprised and somehow proud too that this person beside me is going to be my husband.
" Let me stay alongside justice and live a life with a clean conscience and without any regrets" He prayed.
I don't know if I can love him or not but I hope at least we can be friends or partners.
Two things I learned about him are he surely has a pure heart and second he has the most beautiful smile I have ever seen.
When he smiles his eyes twinkle like a thousand stars of the sky.

Chief Priest Asked us to step inside in water and dip for three times.
Another Priest He explained to us the meaning of this task.
It is said that this pond is made by our ancestors who saved humans by sacrificing themselves. Whoever dips here will get all his sins washed away and the soulmates who dips here together, they both stay together for a lifetime.

We both stepped inside the water and after three dips we came out.
All this time we were holding hands it felt odd but at the same time comfortable.

The priest told us to change into our previous clothes. We changed and came outside.
During this whole I took a few glances of him, he was nervous. I can understand we both aren't familiar with each other and I know Where he has come from where people date, they understand each other and then marry, but here we will get married first and then get to know each other.
I wanted to talk to him first but I know it is impossible in between all these people.

We teleported in front of the door of the main hall. Everyone was waiting for the need. All the girls had already arrived, they must have understood who is going to be my life partner. But now it is also necessary to announce.

I and Xiao Zhan were said to wait outside with few guards and one priest in front of the door while others went inside.
We both were standing there waiting for the call.
He looked more nervous than me as I saw Fidgeting his fingers.
I wanted to assure him but I Don't to how to do so? I am worst at interacting with people.
Sometimes I wonder How I am going to serve the country when I don't know How to talk with others. I sighed inwardly and gathered courage 
" Don't be nervous.." I whispered only for him to hear.  He was shocked at first, he peeked at my side slowly biting his lower lip, and nodded.
Just when we heard a loud voice inviting us inside...
I looked at him. He took a deep breath as gathering the courage to face people inside He looked at me with a smile and nods. We both walked inside. After a few steps, we will be in front of people accepting our destiny.
I still couldn't believe that the day after tomorrow I'll be a married man.
