Rainy Day Kisses

"I'm gonna shower" I tell him while exiting my room.

He gives me a soft nod while giving me a kiss on my forehead and heads out my room also

 I take a quick shower and walk towards Ryders room. I knock on his door softly and hear no response. He usually locks his door when he doesn't want company so I try twisting the knob slowly hoping its open. 'Oh its open' I think to myself. I enter his dark and cold room and sit on the edge of his bed. He's laying down with the covers over his head. Assuming he is asleep I decide to get up, Ryder takes the blanket off his head and reveals to me his face. Which looks exhausted with a pair of blue watery orbs. 

"stay.....please" Ryder whispers. Lifting the blanket up next him and pats it, wanting me to lay with him.

I always had a soft spot for Ryder, it's been like that for a couple of years. Walking over to the side of the bed, I lay down next to him. His warm arms wrap around my torso tightly and my hands rest in his hair. I laugh at a memory that had popped up in my head. He looks up at me wondering why I laughed. 

"you remember freshman year of high school. I had begged you to let me see your pet lizard so you took me to your house after school and then we found your sisters box of pink hair dye and you practically begged me to dye your hair?" I whisper to him. He lets out a small laugh. 

I remember back then how sad and scary our home life was. 

I give him a kiss on the top of his head and kept stroking his hair.

I haven't fallen asleep yet. I check my phone which reads a time of 6am. I hear little thuds outside the window, its raining. I can finally get a good sleep in. Ever since I was little I was always fond of the rain. If I was to wake up at 2am to the sounds of raindrops on a school morning hitting the pavement and the glass of my window, I wouldn't be upset from being woken up.  I would know that after I closed my eyes to the sound of rain I would sleep better than i previously was.

I hear Nico creaking open my bedroom door. I'm guessing he figured out I'm in Ryders room because I soon hear footsteps come near. He knocks very lightly.

"odee, Willow asked me to go get her since the guys are staying for a couple of days."

"You need me to go with you?" I ask him through the closed door.

I hear no response but then hear his car turn on.

Ryder hugs me a little tighter as I drift off into sleep. 

8 am 

 Despite it being super early according to my body, I needed something in my stomach. I get out of bed. I head to my room to grab my keys, wallet, and hoodie. I heard a rustle come from the pile of blankets on my bed. Not thinking anything of it I look for a hoodie. But of course all my clothes are dirty so I will instead steal one from Ryder. Skipping through the hallway in a good mood, I make it back into his room.  Grabbing a hoodie from his closet I make my way out his door. Before getting my second foot out I hear him moving. I look back.

"Where you going?" he asks me rubbing his eyes while holding his head up with his hand. 

"Im going to get some breakfast , want something?" I ask. He shakes his head no and lays back down.  

I head out the door and rush into my car due to the cold wind hitting my exposed legs. I sit in my car with the heat on for about five minutes and my passenger door opens startling me. I quickly grab the pepper spray from the side of my door and aim it at the strangers hooded face. 

"Calm down" Ryder laughs taking his hood off with one hand and the other one lowering my armed hand

"Why didn't you stay in bed?" I sigh and ask

"I wanted to come with you" he tells me 

I turn to look at his face which looks drained of energy. I take my hand and rest it on his cheek causing him to look at me I give him a small smile which he kindly returns effortlessly.

I start driving  to my favorite local cafe. Arriving, I decided to order online.  

"Ding!" My phone reminds me that I am soon leaving to Japan with the guys. I wiggle in my seat with excitement, forgetting that Ryder was in the car he gives me a weird look as if to why am I squirming. I ignore him. 

Ryder heads in and gets my order, I thank him and start heading back home. The speakers start to play lil jeep and the rain starts to get heavier. He asks me to pull into this empty parking lot. Pulling out a fatty he lights it. I watch him take a few hits and he relaxes he tries handing it over to me but I decline.

lil jeep starts to play and he turns it up while getting out the car. He starts to yell out the lyrics in the pouring rain. Despite it being freezing cold and wet I decide to join him.

"You think he know you, but I know you the most girl. You will never find another one just like me "  he yells

Stepping out the car I get drenched in a matter of seconds but don't care.

"Long nights getting high on the coast girl!" I yell. While im just jumping around in the rain. 

I finally realize whats going on. She broke his heart.
