Byleth wasn't very happy when she discovered Ashe's adoptive father, Lonato, was leading a rebellion. When she was told there would be a knight accompanying them, Byleth was confused until a blonde haired woman with blue eyes walked over. The woman recognized Byleth and asked her to take a walk with her in the woods. There, Byleth recognized the woman as Cassandra Rubens Charon. Near the end of the mission, Lonato recognized Byleth. "Byleth Rose Fraldarius, daughter of Lord Rodrigue Achille Fraldarius.", he pointed out to her before he was killed by her. Afterwards, Byleth tells Ashe, Mercedes and Dedue she grew up in House Fraldarius and has been serving House Blaiddyd since she was 14.
