Determined to commit to a college for lacrosse, Chandler England is dedicating her junior year of high school to maintaining a stellar GPA, studying for standardized tests, and helping her team win a state championship title. Therefore, there's no room in her schedule to entertain a romance with the elusively charming captain of the boys' lacrosse team, Trip McKenna.

But at a boarding school that values appearance and prestige, students are always competing for recognition. So when a scandal emerges after the school's Winter Formal, Chandler learns that not all of her classmates are willing to speak out against the spread of toxic gossip targeting her best friend and teammate.

On the lacrosse field, Chandler knows that if she can win the draw, the odds of winning the game tilt in her favor, but the intricacies of the sport don't translate to the real world. After all, what happens off of the field can prove to be equally important to what does.
