6 months prior

It was drizzling in the early hours of dawn as Amoura and Lisa's carriage pulls up to a small Inn, tucked at the edge of the forest that split the town into two halves, the north, and the south, bridges connected the town through the forest.

She was eight hundred miles from their pack territory, Amoura has never been this far from home before, it felt strange being in a land that lacks so much magic. Amoura felt exhausted just from keeping herself from being drained by Bixiys' need for more magic. She was ready to sleep, though she felt wide awake.

"Amoura you want me to check up in before going for food?" Lisa asks as they roll to a stop in front of the hotel.

"I'm tired Lisa, but I'm also hungry. How about I check-in and you go get food?" Amoura suggests as they get off the carriage to stretch.

"Alright. You craving anything in particular?" Lisa asks as she pulls cash from her purse, and hands it to Amoura, wanting her to pay in cash instead of an Istacard.

"Pasta and ice cream," Amoura turns and heads inside and Lisa gets back in the carriage and takes off.

Amoura walks up to the front desk, calls for assistance, a whispery voice asks her to waits for assistance. Amoura agrees, before holding out her arms to leans against the desk, the bare spot on her arm, catches her gaze, the pack emblem that has been with her since birth is gone, she never thought she'd ever stop being a part of the Seven Wolves Pack and Stone Region.

"Can I help you?" Amoura is pulled out of her inner monolog by a woman with purple eyes and a friendly smile.

Amoura smiles in response, a mermaid, Amoura wonders if there's a lake connected to the ocean nearby, if so it would explain the lack of magic everywhere else around, "I'd like a double bedroom, please," Amoura pulls out her wallet.

"Double room as well? With a kitchenette?" She asks Amoura.

"A basic room is fine, it's only for a night," Amoura speaks up, the woman nods and begins typing away. A few minutes late a key materializes by the key the typewriter, the magic screen prints out a physical copy of the purchase.

"Here you go, room twenty-two is around back on the second floor, there are two staircases on each side of the back of the building," Amoura pays and takes her key and receipt.

Amoura was walking out and sends a copy of the key room and number to Lisa before heading to the room. Amoura takes a long hot bath as the events of the day replay vividly in her mind, 'Heminsworth. I've never been so far away from you. You've been there my entire life, what am I suppose to do now? What made you stay?'

Amoura pulls Heminsworth to her and can feel his heartbeat against hers, 'why do you feel so faint?' Amoura sends her healing to him just to see what's going on with his body.

A part of her still couldn't believe she left without Heminsworth. Her heart takes a squeezes at remembering it all. 'What could Malvrick threatened him', was the only question swirling through her head, Amoura dips herself deeper under the bubbles. This wasn't how she was supposed to be having her first child.

"You are the only thing keeping me from running back to Heminsworth. And for that I will protect you so much more, you are from the man I love, the person I exist for, you, and I will be with him again. Until then I will keep you safe always, my little one," Amoura holds back a sob as she pets her stomach, her bump was barely starting to show.

"My mom was pregnant with me for nine months due to me being very magical, are you going to be apart of me for six more months? I think you are," Amoura speaks to her unborn child.
