Review :

This. This one is a masterpiece. And dear one to me. I have watched it in Nov'20. And I did watch it back to back two times. The moment Dazai says the first quote I mentioned (it was in the first episode), I knew I was gonna fall in love with this one. And by falling in love, I mean deeply, maddeningly, heart wrenchingly in love.

This anime has three seasons. Each having 12 episodes, also a movie; known as 'Bungo Stray Dogs : Dead Apple'. I'll be reviewing that too later. From the anime, you can expect bizarre plot story, unique backstories, and nonsense. Yes, it has nonsense. Dazai Osamu is the character who wants to commit suicide but doesn't, Doppo Kunikida is that stick in the bum guy who does everything timely (timely means seconds, he counts seconds!) Rampo is that guy overdosing on sweets and anime equivalent of Sherlock Holmes, Akiko is that nurse you really wouldn't go to; why? You'll see in the anime and ADA president is extremely fond of cats. Yes, they are crackheads. And let's not forget Port Mafia. Akutagawa has a temper issue, his subordinate Higuchi is in love with him, kinda obsessively I think? Then the boss of Port Mafia who surely has some screw loose. Also, no romance (still) in 3 seasons. But the action scenes, the compelling story and this crackheadedness? are what made this series memorable. Life doesn't have to make sense for you to enjoy it; that's how I interpreted this anime.

Fun fact : The author, Sango Harukawa has given the characters the names of historical authors and their prominent literature work as the names of their abilities. Also, Harukawa have put distinct characteristics of per authors in their namesake characters. That's an intricate way of writing!

Fun fact 2 : I had started to read the manga after watching it. However, I discontinued solely for the fact, they have incorporated every scene, almost every dialogue and every FREAKING ARC into the anime! I mean, how many mangas get totally animated?! I was shook! That's why I am waiting for season 4 eagerly. I hope they do it fast!

Annnnnd it's coming! Season 4 is officially coming at January 2023! Yeeeey! I'm happy! (Dances like a cult ritual)

Okay, season 4 is over! But season 5 is comingggggg! And damn! They made it good! We got backstory of Rampo and Akiko both! And that twing of Odasaku! Like seriously! Mafiaso was an assasin and the best back then! The story flowed nice, and the twists they keep showing! And Dazai and Fyodor being idiots! It's just that good to me!
