but maybe the worst of it all
is when you denied your feelings
she locked herself away

her apartment
filled with memories of you
was too painful for her
to be reminded of everyday

she shed tears
almost every hour
for you, david

she typed messages to you
once per day
but she deleted them
never to be sent away

her finger hovered over the button
to call your number
more than she wanted it to

she longed to hear your voice again
your pure sweet addicting voice
and for you to tell her "lo siento"
then she would return your words

it never did though
and the last words you uttered to her
was her name when she stormed off

when the pain became unbearable
she moved out of her apartment
and clung to her estranged brother
the only family that she had left

you didn't like caspar, did you?

you'd never met him
but on the twenty-first of march
she had crumbled in front of you
and told you it was her brothers birthday

when you asked her why
there were tears streaming
down her pale, sad face

she explained to you
her mothers tragic demise
and how her brother was involved
with her father's horrifying plans

of course, it wasn't his fault
he was only eleven at the time
he had been 'brainwashed'

but you hated him
for the pain he caused her
you hated him
for taking away her happiness

and so seeing her in his arms
hit you hard and you were hurt
like you'd never been hurt before

but when you denied her
where else was she to turn
her whole world, you,
had violently stopped spinning
