what made you think
that you, david de gea
could just walk back
into her life once more

it was the night before
she was supposed to
get married to her love

you turned up at her doorstep
hoping to make things right
hoping to make her fall for you
hoping for your happiness back

it took her a while to open
her bright red front door
and you were relieved

but when she did
her cheeks were flushed
and her usually perfect hair
was out of place

it made you think of things
things that you'd really
rather not think about

her creamy silk dressing gown
was hanging loosely from her body
and her arms were crossed on her chest
hiding what was underneath

she didn't do a good job
and so you could see her
white lacy underwear

it made your knees grow weak
but it had happened before
several times before in fact
so you ignored your weakness

before she could utter a word
you pushed yourself forward
and pressed your lips onto hers

she kissed back for a few moments
- a few moments of utter bliss
but you were pushed away quickly
exposing more of her lacy underwear

her fiancé shouted from up the stairs
"are you okay, honey?"
his words made your fists curl up

all she could manage in response
was a feeble "mhm"
she stared at you for a few moments
before finally finding her voice

"you remind me of a cloud,
you soak up all the sadness
and sorrow in your life and

lock it away, losing the key
and when you finally release
the hurricane that brews inside
it makes you feel pure again

but you ruin the lives of so
many others in the process
and that, david de gea

is something that i cannot
and will not forgive you for"
and then the door was shut -
slammed rather - in your face

behind the door
she broke down
tears streaming
down her face

in front of the door
you sat on her front steps
for a moment as it sunk in

before trudging yourself
and your battered heavy heart
back to ander's black car
