Chris's pov

Wow she looks so beautiful.

"You're wearing my sweater."

"Yeah, of course. I missed you a lot and it sort of became so important to me that I wouldn't go anywhere without it." She said, fiddling with the string.

"It's really worn out because I pretty much wore it every day since you gave it to me."

I looked at the sweater.

"I washed it of course I'm not gross."

I chuckled.

"I was just about to say it looks worn out." I said, motioning towards the sweater.

"Yeah, it's really worn out."

"I could give you another, if of course that's what you want." I said.

She smiled.

"I'm good, I don't need another sweater."

"Hey I've gotten really-" I said and flexed.

She giggled and blushed a little bit.

"Are you insisting I take another sweater?" She asked.

"Why not? You obviously liked that one so much you wore it for the past..." I paused to count with my fingers. "22-23 years."

"23 years? Really?"

I nodded.

"You wanna go out?"

She bite her lip in excitement.

"Yes, I do."

"Great, you'll have another one of my sweaters in about a week, I just have to find the right one."

She smiled at me.

"God you have no idea how much I missed you for the past 23 years." I said.

"You're an actor, which meant that-"

"Yes, I listened to your letter, acting's really fun, what do you do?"

She bit her lip on excitement.

"I got a degree in arts."

"What kind of arts?"

"Drawing, I would say that I'm really good but wouldn't that make me seem..." She stopped to think of a word.

I smiled at her.

"Cocky?"

"Yes! That word, thanks." She said and she started giggling.

"Why don't we go swimming this weekend?"

"Pool, or ocean?"

I shrugged.

"Ocean?"

She smiled.

"Bold of you to assume I can swim." She said, giggling softly.

I chuckled.

She got a text.

She pulled her phone out her pocket and she said "Ugh, my friend is waiting for me in the car."

I noticed something on her finger.

"What's that?" I pointed to her finger.

"A promise ring."

"Who's it from?"

"My ex, I didn't have the heart to take it off."

"He broke up with me because he thought that I was cheating on him."

"I didn't, I said that so many times and he didn't believe me."

"Wow, that's tough, how long ago was that?"

"1 and a half years ago? Maybe? I'm not sure, and I don't care now I want string cheese."

I chuckled at the sudden subject change.

"I have to go." She said.

"Sorry."

"You don't have to apologize, I get it."

She smiled at me and then she gave me a hug.

She pulled away and she said "See you later alligator."

I smiled as she walked away to a different isle.

I stood there for a minute before grabbing a bag of snickers.

I smiled to myself before I walked away.
