Story time:
Me: *joins a math zoom SPECIFICALLY for students with questions expecting students there with questions I didn't even think about but there only being one other student*
Math teacher: Oh! Hi, (my preferred name)!
Me: Hi, (math teachers name)!
Math teacher: What's your question?
Me, who's learning to speak up because my teachers ever since 6th grade have asked me too: oh! Uh... one sec!
Teacher: okay! *starts answering the other student's question*
Me: *goes on mute and frantically looks for something to have a question about and coming up with one that is kind of dumb but kind of smart*
Teacher: *finishes answering student's question so now it's only me and her* what's your question (preferred name)?
Me: do you want us to work on the packet we got on Monday too?
Teacher: no. (But says it nicely) *shows me google classroom and what we're doing and stuff* okay?
Me: okay! Thanks (teacher)! Have a good day!
Teacher: You too, (preferred name)!
And that's how my first zoom went and it was a fail. Ask me questions on things that you think have happened to me and I'll make a story on it. Please.
