Destiny

Elementary

The cute six year old boy watches the other children playing in the courtyard from behind the tree. He is too shy to ask to join and the other kids are having too much fun and are oblivious to the child.

There is another young boy who suddenly comes out to the yard and also sees the children playing. But he sadly walks to a small bench away from them.

He is wearing a leg brace to correct a malformed leg and has a hard time moving around. So the other kids avoid him because of it.

He sighs and looks around the area and sees the teachers keeping an eye on the kids. He then turns towards the tree and sees a small head peeking out, who then quickly hides when he sees the other boy.

The boy already knows who the shy boy is. So he leaves him be and doesn't disturb him.

He then takes out a coloring book that his grandmother got for him. And his small pack of crayons and finds a page to color. He keeps the book on his lap as he carefully starts to color it in, making sure not to go outside the lines.

As he's coloring, he notices a shadow over his page and looks up. He then sees the shy boy tiptoeing over his shoulder, trying to get a better look at the book.

"Do you want to color with me?" He asks the shy boy.

Who quickly realizes he was caught and looks at the other boy surprised.

The shy boy, named Taehyung then nods his head but doesn't speak. So the other boy, named Seokjin pats the spot next to him on the bench and tells him, "You can pick a page out and I will cut it out for you."

He then hands the book over to him and watches as Taehyung searches for a page. When he finds one he likes he still doesn't say anything, he just points at the picture.

The other boy smiles wide as he takes his book back and starts to carefully rip out the page and hands it to him.

"We can share the crayons, so I will leave the box right here between us. Ok?"

Taehyung smiles and nods, then searches for the color he needs to get started. They then both get started coloring quietly.

After a few minutes, Seokjin looks over at Taehyung's drawing and is amazed at how beautiful it looks.

He then taps his shoulder and says, "You are really good at coloring TaeTae. Maybe you can be an artist when you grow up."

Taehyung turns red and finally speaks, "You called me TaeTae. My halmeoni calls me that."

Seokjin, who was smiling wide, suddenly stopped to apologize.

"I'm sorry. I don't know why I said that."

Taehyung shakes his head and smiles a beautiful boxy smile at Seokjin, who suddenly has his breath taken away.

"It's ok, I like when she calls me that. You can call me that if you want to."

Seokjin then tells him, "Ok TaeTae, we should start putting our drawings up cause it's almost time to go back inside."

Tae nods his head and starts to carefully fold his drawing and helps Seokjin put his crayons back into the box.

Then when they were done, they happily walked into the building where the others were already going in.

Seokjin told Taehyung he could go in ahead of him since he takes a longer time to walk. But Tae shook his head no and walked beside him.

Tae doesn't know it yet, but he just made little Seokjin very happy. From that day forward they would play together. Mostly coloring or challenging each other who could read a chapter faster on a book.
