The Truth

"How about you Ali? Do you have any plans to take another internship? Dagdag experience din yun." My friend asked.

They were talking about applying as an intern on architectural and engineering firms. They said it would be advantageous for us, if we gain work experience because we can include it on our resumés later on.. you know, make it more appealing for our future employeers. That way mas madali na lamang raw kaming maha-hire. Which is reasonable, kasi marami na kong narinig na mas may value pa raw sa mga employers ang experience, kesa sa latin honors na na-achieve mo.. But as of now, I'm not in a rush to look for a job.

"Uhm, no.. I don't really have plans about that yet. We're at school today, and this is our first day of attending a review class. Right now, my friends and I are eating lunch at the cafeteria; just taking a break from the first-half of our review session.

So yeah.. basically, saying goodbyes during college graduation is pointless. Magkikita kita pa rin naman kasi kayo ng mga friends and classmates nyo after two or three weeks to prepare for the board exam.

"Hmn. Fair enough. Although being labeled as 'unemployed' sucks, I think I'd like to take some time off first." Komento ni Kelsea.. Oo nga. Hindi na kami mga estudyante ngayon. We are now part of the unemployed group of people in the society.

"Ay, same same tayo friend! Mahirap kayang mag concentrate sa pagre-review while working at the same time! Hmn. My thoughts exactly.

"Ugh. Time na guys.. We have to head back now, or else sa likod na naman tayo uupo neto."

"You participated? Really?" Tanong nung isang friend namin with a skeptic look.

"I did! Nag-participate talaga ko! Tanungin nyo pa silang dalawa!" She was referring to me and Mika.. Syempre, magkaiba kasi ang rooms ng mga architecture graduates from those who took engineering.

"She did." Maikling sagot ko; which is true..

Our friends looked at us like were some kind of alien. They were probably expecting me to say the opposite, but.. I guess we should at least give Kelsea a little credit sometimes. Marunong naman talaga syang magseryoso eh. Hindi nga lang nya madalas pinapakita.
