"Sleep well// You have stolen my heart."

Winter 2010, we visited another church to introduce the theme of the vacation bible school. After we performed, our group went outside to play in the snow. Somehow you fell and cut your eyebrow (you idiot, lol.) It must have stung because your eyes were watering. Everyone was looking at you as the tears streamed down your face probably from embarrassment. You didn't know what to do, so you ran, and hid behind the side of the building. I called out your name. You chose to ignore me, so I ran after you. You were sniffing and crying, and I just wanted to get rid of the pain. I guided you inside the church and we sat down by a bench. While you took out a packet of tissues, I fetched you some water, gave you the cup, and stayed with you until you got cleaned up. No words exchanged and I didn't press on you. We walked back outside and resumed climbing the mountains of snow. That is until your mother came and picked you up. You got in the car without even looking back at me or anyone. No thank you, no goodbye; yet I still loved you.
