On Wednesdays and Sundays when I used to see you,My family sat behind yours during the service, and instead of studying the bible, I'd study the back of your head. Taking in every strand of hair that stood up. I would question what I liked about you. The way you laughed at anything silly. Or how your boyish smile made my heart flutter, making my own smile grow bigger. I think what made me fall for you was that you were my first best friend, you treated me as your equal, and you thought I was funny. I thought that because two people who got along well together, maybe ended up happy together. I thought that since you and I were so happy together, we could be together. Maybe it was the thought that you could actually be mine. I thought I would have a chance with you. I mean all of our friends would comment how we looked cute together-why couldn't you see that? Me and you, it's just a dream.
