The day of the much anticipated ball had finally arrived. It was due to start in about half an hour.

Michelle and Juniper both put their favourite makeup looks on and went down to the great hall. They waited just around the corner, where they would split up and find their dates.

"You nervous?" Michelle asked her friend. Who was fidgeting with her fingers.

"Yeah, a little bit." She sighed.

"Don't worry babe, I'm sure Neville dances better than he looks."

"Oh shut it."

They shared a quick hug and Juniper went to join the waiting young students at the entrance of the great hall.

Michelle stuck her head around the corner to watch her friend descend the stairs. She looked like an actual princess. At the bottom of the stairs Neville greeted her with a small bow and took her hand. She had to admit Longbottom had some game.

"Well don't you look ravishing." She suddenly heard someone say in her ear.

She turned around and was greeted by a very good looking George Weasley. He was wearing a black tux with a dark red shirt underneath.

"Why are you talking to me? I thought I was an awful human being?" Michelle quickly shot back with a displeased look on her face.

He touched the back of his head while looking at the ground.

"I'm really sorry about that, Michelle. Found out yesterday it was actually a second year Gryffindor trying to get better grades in potions."

Michelle scoffed. "Okay and? You think I'll just forgive you now? Just stay away from me Weasley, I don't need you in my life."

George clearly didn't know what to say and looked at his feet with disappointment growing on his face. Michelle quickly rounded the corner and went over to Peter.

The evening went by really slowly. Peter was as bad a dancer as he was a kisser. So Michelle denied his requests as many times she could. After a few hours he'd gone of with someone else, seeing as Michelle didn't want to do anything.

Instead of feeling sorry for herself she stole a bottle of firewhiskey from the teachers table and downed it in one go. She was sitting there at the table. Lonely. Watching all the other couples have fun on the dancefloor.

There was Juniper and Neville, Cho and dear Harry, Hermoine & Ron, Fred and Angelina, and of course George and Alicia.

Even Draco and Pansy seemed to be having fun. Michelle wanted in on it. She was tired of wallowing in her self pity. Already feeling the alcohol kick in, she walked over to a Slytherin boy that looked as pathetic as she did.

"Want to dance?" She asked.

"Do I know you?"

"Does it matter? We're both equally miserable."

The boy shrugged and took Michelle's outstretched hand. They went over to the dance floor and started banging their heads to the tunes of the weird sisters. She got lost in the music and the alcohol while closing her eyes and dancing like there was no tomorrow.

Suddenly the song changed from a heavy rock genre to a slow dance. She opened her eyes and saw none other than George Weasley standing right in front of her.

She was about to storm away when he grabbed her by the arm and pulled her into his chest. Grabbing her waist with his large warm hands.

"Don't make a scene, Dolohov." he whispered in her ear as they begun slow dancing.

Michelle angrily put her arms around his neck and stared into his eyes furiously. She thought it better to shut up and have this be over with.

George looked back at her with a soft smile and a twinkle in his eyes.

"Stop looking at me like that." Michelle said, still angry at the boy.

"You're really beautiful." He said, slurring his words slightly.

"Jesus, Weasley. How drunk are you?"

"Stop calling me Weasley! You know my name is Forge. Uhm- George!" He said, shaking his head.

Michelle couldn't help but laugh at that. He really was hammered.

The song finished and Michelle returned her face to her usual annoyed expression. George kept his grip tight on her waist and couldn't stop staring into her eyes. She waited for a few seconds before removing his hands from her waist herself. She cleared her throat and walked away from the dance floor.

"Why do you always have to be so moody, Michelle!" George shouted at her from across the room.

She gave him the middle finger and continued walking. This clearly upset George. He stormed after her and grabbed her by the arm. Dragging her out of the great hall and into one of the abandoned carriages on the courtyard. He picked her up and practically threw her into the carriage before getting in himself and throwing the door shut behind him.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?!" Michelle shouted.

"I don't know!" George shouted back.

They sat next to each other. Looking into each others wide eyes while panting heavily.

Before Michelle could register what was happening, George's mouth crashed down on hers. She closed her eyes and leaned into the kiss.

He slowly retreated his head backwards and looked at her face to search for any objection. But when Michelle stayed silent and looked at him with her wide green eyes he went back in for a longer, more passionate kiss.

Their lips were roving over each other. Michelle opened her mouth and licked his lower lip. This was all the permission George needed to slip his tongue inside her mouth as they deepened the kiss.

Michelle moved her body so that she was seated on top of his lap while cupping his face with her small gentle hands. George held a tight grip on her waist, occasionally moving his hands up towards her upper back to deepen the kiss even further.

Suddenly the door of the carriage flew open.

Michelle, who was still seated on George's lap, snapped her head around to see who had just intruded on them. A very appalled Professor Snape stared back at them.

She quickly got off George's lap and out of the carriage.

"I have to say I am very disappointed with your actions, Mrs Dolohov. It seems most appropriate for you to immediately return to the dungeons."

Michelle nodded while blushing furiously and staring at the ground before walking off towards the Slytherin common room. George tried to follow her but was halted by Snape.

"Not so fast Mr Weasley. Ten points from Gryffindor for your behaviour tonight. I would suggest you return to the Gryffindor common room, immediately."

Thankfully Snape let them off lightly, Michelle had seen him give detention to couples who were merely hugging or holding hands. But the professor had always had a soft spot for Michelle. Even more so than for Draco.

She caught him staring at her eyes a couple of times, which was really weird. But she always thought it was accidental, or that she was imagining it.

Michelle gave George a quick look over her shoulder and saw him stare back at her. When she rounded the corner she couldn't help but smile. Her heart fluttered thinking about what they'd just done.
