I was the only living petrova doppelgänger left. Elena had become a vampire. Despite looking exactly like Katherine and my twin sister Elena, there was me difference between us. I died my hair blonde.

It's true what they say, blondes do have more fun.
Well except when your held hostage by an original who depends on you staying alive.

Klaus had managed to get me off vervain and compelled me to stay at this tiny apartment. Could he at least not have compelled me a better one?

I couldn't leave the apartment unless he came with me for protection, and nobody could visit me. I don't think my friends know where I'm at, to be honest.

Klaus walked in the door with some groceries.

"Here you go darling, this should be enough for the week."

I mean he wasn't wrong. It was a lot of really good looking food.

"Thank you." I started to put them away when he walked around.

"Your missing a few days on your calendar love. It's the 24th."

"It's Christmas Eve?" I looked at him hopefully.

"Indeed it is. I got you some nice fresh lobster for you to have for dinner tomorrow."

"C-can you stay here with me? I'll make dinner for both of us."

"I wasn't planning on it but I suppose I can try." He gave a small smile.

I smiled back. "Thank you. Christmas time means a lot to me and I just don't want to spend it alone."

He nodded silently before walking to the door. "If you need anything else you know what to do."

I nodded and he left, prompting me to lock the door like always.

I smiled and got ready for bed, marking the days off the calendar.

When I woke up the next day I showered and started making a big dinner for klaus and I tonight. I unlocked the front door so he could get in and I put everything on low heat while I did my hair and got dressed. I set the table and turned off the oven when I was done and sat down to wait.

I kept the plates covered so they'd stay hot for longer.

After about twenty minutes I stood up and went to the mirror.

I smoothed out my dress and stared at myself. I look hot.

After another hour, I gave up on waiting for klaus. I ate my lobster sadly before getting halfway done and bursting into tears.

My first Christmas alone ever. After my parents died I always did Christmas with the group. Even Stefan and Damon recently.

I ran to my bedroom and took my dress off and jumped in bed.

After crying myself to sleep, I awoke to soft shuffling in my living room.

I got up and walked in. "Klaus. You're too late." I mumble before turning on the light to see two big guys taking my stuff.

"You said nobody was home!" One spoke.

"I saw the guy who lives here leave last night and he never came back!"

"Well we can't just leave her here. She's seen us."

I quickly ran to my room, locking myself in.
